I can't really see myself truly leaving this place. There is always something that lures me back to this place, even if it's only to lurk about, reading whatever is being posted. I don't think I'll ever really leave this place for long. I remember my first year, with not a hint of activity in this forum, just reading everything that was going on. Such great things, when the battlefield was filled with vibrant action, and you had to constantly refresh if you wanted a spot in the anual tournament. Times I will always remember. Still, I think that I'll still be around, even if it's only me and Repster, still beating at each other with newly created characters. I'll never truly rest my pen, or sword

Yeah, I've found I haven't exactly left the place since I retired as Emperor of the Battlefield(TM) and so forth. I just lurk around. A lot has definately changed from when I was a "youngin'" around here. VGF as a whole is a very different place.
