I registered for VGF just to fight here, and look where it took me.

Well, not HERE, not even in THIS VGF version, because that was, like, the original one with the stars and stuff, in, of all places, the Nintendo forum, where the original battlefield crew appeared. And whence this battlefield was created.

I joined to see the last of the Hyrule Battlefields, and after some experiences here, went on to find IRC battles. From which I mastered and then became GM of Super Smash Quest and then went on to join many, many other RPGs.

It goes a very long way from some random crystal junk, eh?

But I miss Jolteon, Zora, and the Sega Battlefield much, as well as the activity. And yet many of us are here to post in this topic...

Heh, like I could ever totally leave. I keep watch over this place. Lemme tell you, the retired emperor of the battlefield life is pretty good.

And perhaps one day you'll finally get a proper match, SML. If you're very lucky. We Twin Zoras are mysterious fellows, wouldn't you say? Ha ha.

And would you believe I'm typing all this on an Apple iBook? Who would've ever have thought I'd switch...

I never have time to stick around for a battle, just doesn't hold the same magic it did when you are only a 14 year old kid with no real wholesome activities to persue.

still, on a real rare day when I am completely bored out of my skull, I do find myself visiting this place. It just holds so many fond memories, so many creative and intresting people, that I could never completely turn my back on it all.

Sure, I doubt anyone really remembers me, I was one of those kids back then who did not have much literary skill, even less creativity, yet I battled with the some of the best writers I have ever come to known (and lost horribly too, now that I look back. =P)

Because of this place, I found myself. I gained confidence in who I was, what I could do, and now I am where I am today because of it all...All because I thought I was being cool pretending to be Dark Link, chucking literary bombs and swinging words at Iron Warrior or Joker.

So yea, thank you everyone that I associated with way back then, for giving an ignorant 14 yr old kid to realize the importance of creativity, the importance of self worth, and the want to write insanely long descriptive paragraphs that enthralled the reader. [img]graemlins/lol.gif[/img]

Changed my life completely.

Yup I think my 4 year tenure here is comming to an end soon. not what is use to be when I was a noob or even 2 years ago. I honestly have to admit I have not accomplished not a thing really....but it has been fun.
