Yet another return battle... (open challenge) - VGF

My god, It's been FOREVER since I posted here. And this is the website that got me started in message board communities everywhere. I wonder if anyone here even remembers me, as I never reached any notable status.

Anyway, this is open to anyone as a warm-up for my return. Any character, any abilities... Just remember the basic rules, and we should be fine. First to accept gets the batttle. You pick the battlefield.

*Somewhere, in the Space Colony ARK, Around the Final Rush/Space Gadget type areas, we see a silver furred kistune sitting on a platform, seemingly meditating...* "Rather quiet... nice and peaceful..." The kistune said to herself... little did she know what was going to come next...

OoC: If you want to do some reading up on this incarnation of the Shadowking, read here. It is an unfinished battle, but the first post gives a great description, and the rest does show a sample of his abilities. Now then.

IC:
As the silver kitsune sat there peacefully, one of the nearby sources of light randomly went out. Followed by another. And another. As she looked for the source, more lights kept fading out, until none remained.
Flick.
As the fox turned, one source of light started: A small Zippo lighter. The flame softly illuminated the features of the teen behind it: Appearing to be roughly 16, with shoulder-length hair resting gently, and the exaggerated shadows of his face dancing with the flame. He threw the lighter at the fox’s feet, and then waved his right hand in the air, restarting all lights. A small bolt of energy erupted from his left hand, destroying the resting Zippo. This gained the kitsune’s full attention, and he looked at the teen. Straight, long brown hair met a long black leather jacket, and in contrast a white loose-fitting T-shirt. Black jeans and sneakers finished off the package of this seemingly gothic teen. He held out his right hand, and pure Shadow energy formed in the shape of a sword within his grip. As the loose energy danced around the blade, the teen spoke.
“Name’s Darrin, as I’m sure you want to know. Fancy a fight?” The teen spoke in a surprisingly gentle voice, possibly catching the creature off-guard. Darrin then adopted a defensive stance, holding the sword out in front of him, ready for an attack.

The fox looked at him. "Sure, why not. This should be intresting... and the name's Mecha Tails, MT for short" Then, in an instant, she vanished. Darrin, expecting a suprize, looks around, watching for possible attacks anywhere. He then catches sight of several shurikens heading at him, which he manages to dodge out of the way. Then the fox reappears just as he dodges, slashing at him...

OoC: Just a note, I kinda don't like controling other peoples chars in fights, so please let me know if I'm making your char act incorrectly if possible. Just letting you know.

OoC: I believe that to get the most out of a battle, one needs the limited ability to control their opponent, that way the attack goes exactly as planned, but without godmoding.

IC:
Darrin saw the sword slashing, but wasn't fast enough to entirely dodge it. The sword glanced down his right arm, leaving a small gash and some blood, and tearing part of the leather jacket. He grimaced, and slashed his sword at MT. The fox lept backwards to dodge, but the Shadow energy that had been dancing around the blade flew, colliding with him. The energy resulted in a small explosion, but it was only a fraction of how devastating it woulda been if Darrin had connected with the sword. He now rushed towards the fox, making a slash at his head...

MT saw the slash coming, and manages to duck out of the way. She then jumps back before Darin tries another slash on her, off the platform, and floats in mid-air a few feet off the platform, then proceeds to fire off a powerful blast of lightning at Darin, lighting a small area as well as a side effect.

Darrin saw the blast coming, and reacted quickly. He drew his gun from the inside of his jacket and threw it in the way, causing the gun to be struck by lightning and discharge a lone blast of concentrated Shadow Energy into the air. He grinned slightly, then rushed at MT, grabbing his gun off the floor as he ran. The self-proclaimed Shadow King of Earth slashed at MT's legs, but when the fox jumped over the blade, shot into the air at him.

MT manages to vanish out of the way of the attack, and reappears behind Darrin, and appears to slash, but it goes through him, like an illusion. This threw Darrin off guard for a split second, as MT reappears agian, kicking at his back.
