I only saw your name and was so excited to see that you still visited here, then realized that this topic is almost two months old (dagnabit) Zora, the one girl I looked up to for such a long time back 5 years ago. I was hoping that you were doing well, instead to find you ill. I don't know everything that's going on, but I earnestly pray for your well-being. Get better soon. All of our prayers are with you.

Heavy. I wish I could say I had such memories of what was obviously a still better time for the Battlefield, but I don't.

At least not this Battlefield. I did, however, have a similar experience with the Super Bard BBS Battlefield, so I can empathize completely.

Zora, I hope you get better, if for no other reason than that I like it when things go well for as many people as possible, though it would be completely true to say I hope to see more people floating about here again, posting more regularly.

Volv, you seem like you might be fairly experienced- I'd love to see you around here as well.

Overall, I'm a bit depressed at the decay of this, and gaming/writing in general on BBSes, though I completely understand why this has happened. It can generally be attributed to a combination of the gradually shortening attention span of people as a group, and the emergence of MMORPGs, which provide a very popular forum for roleplaying of this type in a framework with references, rules, and where you can show people your character rather than having to describe them over and over.

I play MMORPGs myself, but I enjoy the ability to further describe, to not have to hold to a set framework of rules, so I still come about places like this. And it's kind of sad to see this sort of 'decay', for lack of a better word.

But! Life continues, so we can keep on keeping on, and hope that things get better.
