Arrow SML Is a Stupid Cad (in D-Minor)

SML's a cad, he's a big fat cad,
He's the biggest cad in the whole wide world,
He's a stupid cad, if there ever was a cad,
He's a cad to all the boys and girls.

On Monday he's a cad
On Tuesday he's a cad
On Wednesday thru Saturday he's a cad
Then on Sunday just to be different,
He's a super king kamehameha cad

Have you ever met my friend SML,
He's the biggest cad in the whole wide world,
He's a mean old cad, he has stupid hair,
He's a cad, cad, cad, cad, cad, cad, cad
cad, cad cad cad cad cad cad
He's a stupid cad, SML's a cad,
And he's such a dirty cad.

Talk to kids around the world,
It might go a little something like this...

[Sung in three different languages by other children]

Have you ever met my friend SML,
He's the biggest cad in the whole wide world,
He's a mean old cad, he has stupid hair,
He's a cad, cad, cad, cad, cad, cad, cad
cad, cad cad cad cad cad cad.
He's a stupid cad, SML's a cad,
And he's such a dirty cad;

I really mean it,
SML, he's a big fat, stinking cad
Big old fat ****in' cad, SML-L-L-L
Yeahhhhh, Chaaaaa

---

Although the title says the song is written in D-minor, it is not; the song is in a major key: it starts in C-major but modulates up a semitone each verse. The melody of the song bears some similarities to the theme song from the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and also bears some resemblance to the Philosophers' Drinking Song from the stage adaptations of a sketch by the British comedy troupe Monty Python called Bruces.

The half step modulations of each verse become especially apparent once the first verse in English is sung after the foreign language verses, as by this point the timbre of sounds markedly thinner and higher pitched once the pitch centre has risen to E major (from the original C major at the first verse), almost as if speaking after inhaling helium. This would suggest that the vocal line was probably electronically transposed up to E major after first being sung in a lower key. The timbre returns to normal several bars later "cad cad cad cad cad...etc."

The familiar prolonged "well...." before the song is sung a G over a G major chord followed a G augmented chord, repeated it twice, and then the song starts in C major. The song begins in C major and ends in E major (ending with a jazzy E major ending), and passes through every major key in-between the two (first C, then Db, D, Eb and then E), however it is never at any point actually in D minor as the title falsely would suggest.

I can't deny the help Wikipedia gave me. And by "help", I mean "text I stole from", and by "gave" I mean "it was copied word for word by".

Well I figured the help came from somewhere, this level of refined humor is too much for someone such as yourself.

As soon as you think of it as flattery, it is no long flaming. But to answer your question, I do not know. Let me know if you ever figure out what people like ZG are thinking.

.
That's interesting, because this sound like a song from the "South Park Movie."

Oh well.

^That song was as original to Bigger, Longer, & Uncut as "Montage" was to Team America. (That is to say, both were used years previously to their respective films in regular South Park episodes.)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
