Logic Riddles

The man who made it doesn't want it, the man who bought it doesn't need it, the man who needs it doesn't know it.

What is it?

It's a pretty sound theory, I must say.

You come to a fork in the road. One path leads you home, while the other leads to certain doom. Two brothers are standing by the road at the fork. One of them always tells the truth, while the other always lies. In order to decide which path you should take to get home, you may ask only one brother a single question. You do not know which brother tells the truth and which one lies.

What question do you ask?

"which path would your brother say leads to doom?"

The truth telling brother would give you the life path, because his brother would give you the life path if you asked him which was the doom path.

the lying brother would give you the life path, because his truth telling brother would tell you which was doom. but since he is lying, he gives you the life path.

Thus, you take the life path, because you know this, and you have forced the brothers to give you one path.

Also, you can ask for the life path instead, and take the one they don't give you.

E: Home path, whatever. theres like a million verisons of that riddle.

"Do either of you two tell the truth?"

that dosn't get a path though, it just tells you which one is true and which one is false.

"I seem to have lost my contacts somewhere along that path. Can one of you two walk three miles down it and get them back for me?"

If they come back, that's the life path.

No, they would answer yes and no, but not go because you asked them if they could, not if they would. if you asked them if they would then it would be a matter of opinion and they could both say no.

Ugh, umm...

There are two islands. On one island you got 3 guys and a boat. 2 of the guys weigh 50 points and the other weighs 100 pounds. All three have to get to the next island, but the boat can only support 100 pounds. How do you get there?

Spoiler Below
50-Mark and 50-Jeff take off from First Island to Second Island. 50-Mark comes back to First Island, and lets 100-Paul takes the boat to Second Island by himself. 50-Jeff then rows back to First Island and picks up 50-Mark, so they can all die prosper on Second Island.

...Make sense? o_o

It's basically the same as the wolf/sheep/lettuce riddle, where the 100-pound guy is the sheep.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
