Nah, that was Pitch. Pitch was one of the better ones, IMO, since his projectile power could help quite a lot. In the self scrolling levels he'd be a death trap since Kirby usually stands still when Pitch is moving...

That's weird. I got my KDL3 used (meaning no maanual), an' when I beat it then viewed the character credits, I could'a sworn I never saw "Pitch."

You'll have to collect all the Heart Stars, then defeat Dark Matter in the Hyper Zone to view the actual credits.
