Question about Metal Gear Solid 2 (Spoilers, maybe)

I've heard that Snake dies in the game, then you find out he's alive, but you don't play as him for the rest of the game. Does this mean the MGS games will no longer be about him?

If you've seen a single screenshot of MGS3, you should know that Snake is playable in that game. Unless you believe the crazy theories going around the 'net of course.

Kind of in MGS2: Son of Liberity, You play as him for a little while, then you play as somebody else for the other 90% of the game. Everybody thinks that Snake is Dead, but only the player knows that he's not. Plus the fact that Snake pops up later in the game.

However, people believe that in MGS3: Snake Eater. That the "Snake" that you play in it, is actually Big Boss. I am one of those believers, due to bits and pieces that I have seen.

Speaking of SoL, is anyone else disappointed that there wasn't a boss fight with Ocelot?

Raiden sucked. And it's very possible that in MGS3 you play as Big Boss not Snake as the time period would make Snake alot younger than he is now. Yet in the screens I've seen he looks the same.
