I don't care, I need excercise as well, so why the hell not? We're going for a PS2 so we can play DDR for both of 'em. What DDR games are the best, in your opinions? And if you've got something to say about what pads to get as well, go ahead. ![]() |

The first DDR game for the PSX is pretty good. It has a relatively small song list, but it has a nice variety of music. Konamix is all Konami originals, so there isn't any licensed music, but it still has some pretty good song (although most of them are also on the later mixes). DDRMAX and DDRMAX2 are both excellent, with lots of songs and something to please everyone, including several licensed songs like Sandstorm and Get Down Tonight. As for pads, if you can get the official Konami pad, that's a pretty good one, but they're a little hard to come by unless you get it in the DDRMAX2 bundle (which is also rare). Since most of the other third-party soft pads are poorly made, you may want to get the RedOctane Ignition pad. It has foam inserts and it's pretty sturdy, and it doesn't move around a whole lot either. If you're lucky, you can find them on sale somewhere, but otherwise they cost about $100. That still isn't a bad price though. |

It has 50 songs with it and runs on 4 AA batteries. I might be able to get it. ![]() [ June 29, 2004, 11:51 PM: Message edited by: Penguin Man ] |

Come on! They had it for N64, and for crying out loud, the Game Boy Color actually had it! Yikes... Oh, and why did you edit my post? ![]() |

Not sure about all the technical jargon about it, but electronics in North America, Europe, Asia, etc are all formatted and designed differently, and unless you buy an adapter of some sort they are not interchangable. This is the reason why taking your laptop into say Spain, and then trying to plug it into a wall won't work. Europe's special format is called PAL, wheras ours is called NTSC. I'd email the guy and ask him to be safe, but you're probably safe and it'll probably work since the guy is from California. |
