The character of the week, Sparkster, first appeared in Rocket Knight Adventures for the Sega Genesis. A solid, yet tough platformer, where else would you play as a possum who throws swords while flying around on a jet pack?

The song of the week, Burning Heat, was the first level's BGM in Gradius II. Despite not being released over in the USA, it is one of the more recognized songs from the game, thanks to the 3rd Option and Full Option remixes appearing on DDRMAX2 and Beatmania IIDX 7th Style respectively.

Don't worry; as long as I'm mod here, a Yu-Gi-Oh character will never be CotW.

Lightbulb

I realize it was on Ultramix, but it first appeared on the JP/US versions of MAX2.
