Okay, I am sick, and I am tired, of all that are against using the bar. So I created a poll, are you against using the bar or not? I am not against it.

Well, using the bar every now and then is ok, if it's used for balance or to help get past a really hard part. But holding on to the bar the whole time, or 'bar-raping' as it's sometimes called, is kinda lame, almost like cheating to me.

What I meant was if they use the bar EVEN ONCE. That would be okay, but Bar-rapers, now that's where cheapness comes in.

Well, of course it's fine using it one or twice to help maintain balance or something. That's why they're there.

For me, the bar just gets in the way.

I'm pro-bar. It's there, so why not?
The bar is good for more than maintaining your balance. I use it sometimes to save stamina, so I can play more per arcade visit. It's also kind of a challenge to get used to playing both with and without it.
As for tournaments, if they ban the bar, I'm not entering. I won't even be in the same zip code as the tourney.

Take and Yasu of AaronInJapan.com use the bar.
Ver2 of BemaniStyle and DDR Freak uses the bar.
I see no problem with it.

Using the bar isn't bad.

OVERusing the bar is. I don't think it makes the game as fun. Also it's really hard to freestyle if your hands are locked onto the bar. (I'm more of freestyler than a scorer.) It just doesn't make it as fun.

OK, I see now. Sorry 'bout the 'can just suck it' option.
