Question

When playing DDR, do you prefer to go for high scores and hard courses, or try to look like you're dancing and cut loose? Me, I'm more of a freestyler. I mean, the game is called Dance Dance Revolution, so I figure I might as well look like I'm doing some sort of dance, and not just smash arrows.

I TRY to Freestyle. But I'd rather work on Full-Combo Freestyling!

Unhappy

I've never tried freestyling before.

What IS freestyling, anyway?

Well, I guess Freestyling is basically trying to look like you're actually dancing, and not just smashing arrows. You try to play off the directions and do spins, kneedrops, or whatever to spice up the routine.

Score. Although I love adding in a couple of kneedrops every once in a while.

So, essentially, it's doing whatever you please, with no arrow restrictions? Or are there still arrows?

There are still arrows, and you're still trying to pass, but you may not be as focused on trying to hit every single one.

I'm a score player. I freestyle when I feel like it, but I mainly play for score.
