It wasn't Upperdeck, it was Konami. Meaning that you can't play them in Japan either.

Well I think it's stupid that a person would want to sacrifice like, what, 3 monsters? Ra won't get you anything; his effect is not even on the card. I think it's actually insanely long or something like that and requires the user to speak some dead language. I'm not sure, but I think Ra's main effect is that it's attack number is the same as the attack powers added up of the three monsters used to sacrifice to summon it. What does this mean? If you're rational and only use Level 4 monsters, it means the maximum attack power still leads to 4700, which is marginally better than the Blue Eyes Ultimate. If you want to go sacrifice Blue Eyes White Dragons for Ra, go ahead, but keep in mind you'd have to sacrifice two other monsters for each, which adds up to a total of 9 cards just to bring out this monster, which would just be STUPID, despite 9000 attack power, which, BTW, is much easier to get through Blue Eyes Ultimate with a Megamorph.

Does Obelisk even have an effect? The show doesn't seem to show any other than lack of being able to be controlled like the others.

Obelisk the tormentor: 4000/4000 **********
Effect: sacrifice 2 monsters on your side of the field to destroy all the monsters on your opponent's side of the field and inflict 4000 direct damage to your opponent's lifepoints.

Oh and the special effect rules only applies to obelisk and Ra.

Obelisk's weakness:United we stand and axe of despair.

Ra's weakness:weaker than the egyptian god cards, plus it even relies on the tribute monsters to get more attack power, making it pointless because it can't beat monsters in defense mode.

Slifer's weakness: magic/trap cards that discard cards in your opponents hand and also has same weakness as Obelisk.

SLIFERS EFFECT: ATK+DEF is chosen by cards in hand.
Example:6 cards-6,000 ATK and DEF

OBELISKS EFFECT: SACRIFICE 2 monsters.
ATK+DEF increases by the ATK+DEF of sacrificed monsters.
Destroy all monsters on the field exept Obelisk
the Tormenter.

RAS EFFECT: the three monsters you sacrifice creates Ra's ATK+DEF. You may pay some LP to increase Ra's ATK+DEF.
Also, you may pay 1000 LP to destroy a single monster on the field.

RULES THAT APPLY TO ALL GODS:
1.YOU MUST SACRIFICE 3 MONSTERS TO SUMMON ANY OF THE GOD CARDS!!!!!
2.MAGIC CARDS ONLY WORK ON GODS FOR ONE TURN!!!!!!!
3.TRAP CARDS AND EFFECT MONSTERS HAVE ABSOLUTLY NO EFFECT ON GOD CARDS!!!!!

The effects of the God Cards were already written.

Obelisk

Requires you to sacrifice 3 Monsters to Summon (treated as a Special Summon). Sacrifice 2 Monsters -> When this Monster attacks during this turn, it attacks all of your opponent's Monsters at the same time and does 4000 points of direct damage to your opponent. This Monster cannot be the target of Monster, Magic or Trap effects.

Osiris

Requires you to sacrifice 3 Monsters to Summon (treated as a Special Summon). This Monster's attack and defense strength are each equal to 1000 times the number of cards in your hand. Whenever your opponent Normal Summons or Reverse Summons a Monster with an defense strength of 2000 or less, destroy it. This Monster cannot be the target of Monster, Magic or Trap effects.

Ra

Requires you to sacrifice 3 Monsters to Summon (treated as a Special Summon). This Monster's attack and defense strengths are each equal to the sum of the attack and defense strengths of the Monsters sacrificed to Summon it. Pay all but 1 of your Life Points -> Increase this Monster's attack and defense strength each by the amount of Life Points you paid. Pay 1000 Life Points -> Destroy 1 of your opponent's Monsters on the Field. Sacrifice a Monster -> Increase this Monster's attack and defense strengths each by the respective attack and defense strengths of the sacrifice Monster. This Monster cannot be the target of Monster, Magic or Trap effects.
