Has anyone tried it yet? This game looks so awesome, and I've seen a lot of good reviews for it. I really want to get it, but there's a lot of other games I want, too. :/

I heard it was a decent action platformer, but it got awfully repetitive.

Platformer is probably the last thing that should come to mind, should one who has never played previous Castlevania games but is familiar with how the genres are divided come into contact with the game. In fact, not only are the platforms and jumps found in most platformers essentially absent from this game, it's almost equally devoid of any variations in elevation. Some might call it a platformer, but it's only because they've played a number of CV games, and most CV games are platformers to a great degree.
