A pretty overlooked RPG series. I've only played the 3rd one, but I also want to try the 2nd and first ones. Suikoden's main distinction is the ability to recruit 108 characters for your group(aka, the 108 stars of destiny).

I only played the 3rd one, and it owns. I really want to buy S4 when it comes out, it looks good too. Has anyone played the first 2?

I've played and loved the first two. The 2nd isn't worth the $100 or so it's going for on ePay these days (really, what game is?), but the first one should be played anyway since you can transfer your saved data.

Yeah, I've been able to find Suikoden I used at my local store, but I have found no trace of S2, which is the one I really want to play. Ah well.

Seriously though, you SHOULD play the original first. Not only can you transfer saved data from I to II, but it's a great game in its own right. You'll also appreciate the series more IMO if you play them in sequence.

Just wanted to say that I played through the first one and got all 108......I really recommend playing it.....one of my favorites.

Yeah I just got this game "suikoden" like last week. It is pretty cool, only I am lost after the part where my character, Kannon, Ted, Gremio, Pahn, and Cleo turn in the thief's in Greigmeister.

Ted says he is going home... ...okay so where do I go from here??
