Game for a While, Final Fantasy

Okay so Final Fantasy , was more on the Nes than the Playstation; but you can get most of the games on the PSone.

So yeah.

I never liked FFVII much. Although it was the first game that got me into Final Fanstay series. I watched it around my friends, and thought that the gameplay looked good. However that is the only thing good about it.

FFVIII is one of my favourites. Also one that I've nearly completed. Got to 4th Disc but stopped for a while. Then deleted my game progress.

FFIX was another one of my favourites, yet haven't gotten very far since Whelp took it.

FFX is another one of my favs. For the main reason, our release got a special kind of Sphere grid in which any person could be another style, without going through the Locks. Nearly at Thunder Plains, got to Calm Lands, but didn't get any further.

FFX-2 was alright. I just wished I had more of a team, then just three people.

FF1 is the only one out of the originals that I've played. I've gotten the bridge up. I like this version because my Team can be whatever I choose it to be.

I like most Aeons too. Favs must be the Brother's from FFVIII

Discuss the games. Favourite Storyline. Worst Ones. Etc.

I loved FFVII. It's my favorite. Great gameplay, and I really like the story and characters (*drool* Vincent... ). Anyway, I wish I still had my copy, I've been itching to play for weeks, but my brother lost it (or destroyed it... not too sure.)

I never really got into FFVIII. I rented it once, but it bored me, so I never bothered playing it through. Maybe I will, someday.

I really like FFIX. Good story and game play. Some of the characters were annoying, but hey, it has Vivi. So everything balances out.

FFX is close up there with FFVII. Amazing graphics, great story line, fantastic characters and cool game play. I personally love the Sphere Grid. And I really like Blitzball (I know not many do... and I'm not one for mini-games, but I really liked it). Plus, the ending to the game was amazing.

FFX-2... eh. It had potential, if you just through out the fru-fru story line, there were some parts that were actually good. The new characters (Baralai, Gippal, Nooj, Paine) were awesome, and in my opinion, kind of wasted in this game. And they could have worn more clothing...

FF - Really good game in my opinion. Lets you pick your party. I really, really liked the GBA version with the 4 hidden dungeons. That made it waaay better.

FFII - Meh, never really liked it. Didn't care much for the remake either.

FFIV - Not sure whether I should call this FFII (U.S. and Europe) or FFIV(Jap), so I'll just call it FFIV because that's what the GBA remake was called. Good game. Classic. Rydia is my favorite from this game.

FFVII - Really good game. Proabably my second favorite FF game. Although I loved the game, I still say it's a stretch to call it the best game ever made. The only thing I didn't like about it was the ending, it was too open ended. But hey, they made a movie and now I'm satisfied. Cid was my favorite from this game.

FFVII: AC - Not a game, but I thought it kicked ass anyway.

FF Tactics - I found this game to be quite enjoyable. One of the best of it's genre (a crown I would later give to Disgaea). I loved the storyline and class system. The only problem was that I was kinda bummed by the ending. And the fact that pretty much every important character in the story was prety much dead by the end. Zalbag was my favorite from this game.

FFVIII - Although I enjoyed this one, I didn't think it was as strong as any of the others (save for FFII, which was terrible). I loved all the summons, but the magic system was kapoot. Squall was kinda blah as well. Zell is my favorite from this game.

FFX - Favorite FF game. Loved it. Kinda disapointed with the lack of summons (Alexander, Leviathan, Odin, etc). Sphere grid and weapon customization more than made up for it. Auron is my favorite from this game.

FF Tactics Advance - Weak in comparison to the original FFT and other games from it's genre. Still, a pretty good game. Ritz is my favorite from this game.

My favorite summons from the FF universe are Leviathan and Alexander.

Gah, I forgot Tactics!!!

Pretty much what Auron said. Great game, fun to play, ending was depressing, however. But I really loved the story line.

My favorites were 8, 9, 10, and 10-2.

I found 7 to be overrated as hell. The graphics in the game made me dizzy, so I was never able to complete it. Despite this, I love Yuffie.
FAVORITE CHARACTER: Yuffie
LEAST FAVORITE CHARACTER: Palmer

I loved 8. I dont know why most people hated it. 8 had an excellent plot, and the fighting system was a huge improvement over 7's. Most say that they hate the "Draw" system, but I prefer it over "Materia".
FAVORITE CHARACTERS: Rinoa, Angelo, Selphie, Quistis, Irvine
LEAST FAVORITE CHARACTER: Zell

9 was a great one, also. I loved the cartoony graphics, and alot of the characters. A nice plot, as well. Problem is, the villian is hard to take seriously. Y'know, since he's a crossdresser, and all.
FAVORITE CHARACTERS: Garnet, Zidane, Beatrix
LEAST FAVORITE CHARACTER: Kuja

10 and 10-2. The plots of each were excellent. 10 had a great fighting system, and the revamped summon system was awesome. 10-2 had the interesting "Dress Sphere" system. My favorite dress sphere had to be the Mascot one. It's fun to play as the team of a Moogle, Cait Sith, and a Tonberry. I preferred 10-2's plot. I liked the romantic setting of it. I love Yuna and Rikku. They are both secksee. Oh, and Baralai is friggin' hot.
FAVORITE CHARACTERS: Yuna, Rikku, Leblanc, Baralai, Auron
LEAST FAVORITE CHARACTER: Seymour

Oh yes, he is.

Hmmm... I suppose I never did my favorite characters.

FF7:
Favorite - Vincent, Red XIII, Rude, Reeve, Cid
Least Favorite - Yuffie (eh, she was annoying to me), Cloud ("Let's mosey"? Seriously, now...)

FF9:
Favorite - VIVI (yay), Blank, Beatrix (I like supporting characters)
Least Favorite - Zidane got on my nerves

FF10:
Favorite - Auron, Lulu, Yuna, and pretty much all the main characters
Least Favorite - Seymour

FF10-2:
Favorite: Baralai, Paine, Gippal
Least Favorite - Rikku annoyed me in this game

Tactics:
Favorite - Agrias, Mustadio
Least Favorite - Delita (stupid bastard...)

Question Regarding the thread header...

Um... did you subtlely make fun of the Final Fantasy series' hype and ubiquity by calling it Final Fanstay?
