But it's supposedly going to be released in August or September(hey, maybe some GTA: Vice City Online?). I think it's a broadband connection. But Tony Hawk 3 should be fun online. ![]() |

| Guest | They are releasing a network adapter that plugs into the Expansion bay on August 27th. The adapter basically connects yopu to the internet through the DSL, cable, or dial-up system that you already have. The adapter will come with a set-up disc and a coupon for Twited Metal Black Online. The first online game will be SOCOM Navy Seals, which will include a headset through which you can talk to the game and the players online. The adapter will cost 30-40 american dollars. To get everything on this topic get the June issue (out now) of EGM. They have a whole section with tons of info. I recommend it. It's gonna be HUGE! ![]() |

| Guest | Oh ya, one more thing: There is no additional charge to pay SOCOM online, but that will change for other games. And there is no online connection fee to get onto the link-up sites. FFXI will require you to buy a seperate hard drive and it will cost extra money, but what's a little money when those sucker Xbox owners have to pay a monthly fee to get online for every game? |

| Guest | actually the network apadter that you buy goes ont he outside of the expansion slot. if you buy a hdd then that goes inside and the net adapter can screw on to it. also if you have a modem (cable, or dsl. i don't think they have dial up ones) that connects to your computer thru usb, you can hook it up to the ps2 via usb. people have been doing that with tony hawk 3 for awhile now. |
