I already own Grand Theft Auto [awesome game!] and will get all the Medal of Honor games, but outside of those there aren't many games I really know about. Have any suggestions? Btw, I like rpg/fantasy games and racing games, and recently war games. I have been interested in Twisted Metal Black. What's the word on it? Any good?

Twisted metal black is perfect for collecting dust. Damn game is too dark and hard. I regret that I ever bought it.

Also, try thps3 if you haven't already. I highly recommend it.

yeah, the movies for it are amazing! BTw, has anyone heard about Everquest for ps2? my friend said there was supposed to be a ps2 adaptation, but I can't seem to find any info on it. Is it really coming out for the system, or was he mistaken?

lol! tm: black is am awesome game. first for the darkness... 1. go into the options and turn up brightness in the game. they put that in there on purpose. 2. if its still to dark then turn up the brightness on your tv. I personally like it dark, it gets you into the mood.

now for the hard. first you go into options and you set the diff level to easy. if you start out the game on normal it'll be very hard at first. first do it on easy and you get good at it then eventualy turn it to normal and so on. you should also have a plan when you go into a battle and know they have plans too. if you are a huge slow car with lots of armor, you want to fight other cars in close corners and pound them. if you are a small fast car, you want to hit and run. also buy a strat guide if you are that bad.

TWISTED METAL BLACK

I also would reccomend Twisted Metal Black, even though I dont own it yet, I play it alot whenever I go over to my friends house and I like it alot. It provides challanges, and dark stories, not to mention a good brawling game, and a good game by yourself and co-op.

FINAL FNATASY X

A great rpg that is easy to play and is great for anyone of the rpg list, beginners, veterans, or anyone inbetween. I would recommend this to anyone who likes rpgs.

GRANDIA II

I just started playing this two days ago and I love it. Its an RPG and you either like it, or dont. But I like it, it has a nice hybrid between turn based and non turn based fighting. It also has a cool way of leveling up your skills, magic, and other moves. its on either Dreamcast, or PS2.

Other games I would reccomend if your a RPG fan: Final Fantasy 7,8,9,10, tactics, Worms series, and alot of other games. Good luck hunting some games youll get alot of hours out of.

Dark cloud's a fun game. Not too hard and pretty fun.

Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1 is one of my favorite games still. It's a fun rpg with strategic battles.

also, if you like stategic games, and fighting games, I would suggest Kessen and Kessen II, staged in fudal japan, you go though around 12-18 battles on each game. And in each battle you direct your troops and use different attacks depending on what type of regiment you have and the other person, and also the number of troops you have in each regiment, and the locations, wether they are in a fort, on horses, out in the open ect. you can also set up ambuses and other stategcic attacks to lead you country to victory.
Another game that is alot like kessen and kessen II. Its made by the same company (Koei I believe) Its called Dynasty Warriors 3. you can play as over 40 generals for the Wu, Wei and another clan in fudal japan and you and alot of troops are placed on the field, whereas in the kessen games, you just see cut scenes of your attacks, and regular gameplay has a birds eye view so to speak, and you just direct a bunch of different regiments. In Dynasty Warriors 3, you are the specefic general himself and you basically run around and kill troops, and opposing generals. The missions vary, it could be kill the main general, or escorting something, or destroying something, it all depends on the general. And each of the levels is quite huge, providing alot of gameplay. Not only can you do the campaigne missions for the 40+ generals, but you can pick a variety of boards youve previously played to level up your generals. And during gameplay, depending on the amnt of troops and generals you kill, you get that many more points for leveling up, and as you level up, you can have a certain amount of bodyguards, depending on the level your at, to protect you, or go out killing and the like. Also, when you kill generals, they either drop an item, or weapon, and the weapons, each general can have 4 different types, each better than the last. The first three are potluck on if you get them or not by a dropped general. But the fourth you have to do a paticular thing/challange to get the fourth. But usually you will get alot of duplicates of your weapons and items, and they are either higher in level that you original, or not. and if they are higher, they replace the lower one, and the such with each higher duplicate you receive. I think I covered alot about these three games, if you have any questions, ask on here ^_^. I personally enjoy all these games, but it depends on your tastes. The Kessen's and DW3 have a small cult following so to say, a few like em, alot dont. Also, if you like fudal japan and tactics, look for Romance of the Three Kingdoms coming out soon. Its almost DW3, tactics style, not as much action/killing tho. Im assuming.

Also, if you like stategic games, look into the worms series, there are roughly three games out in the series, your group of worms, and you, must complete military "Kill the other team and such" missions. Or you can just play a match for fun, but passing missions will get you cool weapons and invicibility and the like. I enjoy mucho much.

Here are some great games that no PS2 owner should be without.

Shadow of Destiny-there is no action but the story and open ended gameplay is awesome.

Devil May Cry-If kicking ass in style is your thing don't look any further.

Twisted Metal Black-I'm surprised your parents would let you play this game and not GTA3. The game is twisted.

Tony Hawk 3- Great, addicting, easy to learn hard to master.

Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance- A hack and slash game with lots of depth. Very nice graphics.

Silent Hill 2-Not as scary as the first one, but still a great horror game.

Everquest is coming for PS2, check IGN for the coverage.

That game is great! The next I'm going to get is either MOH: Frontline or Final Fantasy X.
