...Liquid not just being crazy and actually being possessed by Liquid. I mean, he even had his voice in MGS2.

^ Well, you missed Metal Gear Acid 1-2 and Metal Gear Solid on GBC, not to mention the NES ones. But you beat more than I did, since I never beat MGS3, technically, only watched you beat it.

I didn't like this game at all really. I thought it to be repetitive and bleak, plus over half of it was boring cutscenes. Plus, it was so short that even with the 30 minute cutscenes (each) I beat the game twice in two days. Why did I play it so much in two days you ask? It was the only game I had for the ps3 at that time. The fact that it was chosen as the best game of the year surprises me because everyone I know and myself all think it downright sucked. It was one of the worst games I have ever played and I really expected more out of it. I don't mean to be harsh, but jeeze... It would have been the same to just buy a new blu-ray movie, and still save $20 in the process.

Yes, okay. It's got long cutscenes, but this is a Metal Gear game. All/most Metal Gear games are more like interactive films rather than a regular games, so you should have really expected that from this game.

If you mean "I thought it to be repetitive and bleak" by the Gameplay. Then you've been playing it wrong.
Try
"Getting into fights and use Tranq-guns only"
"Getting into fights and shoot to kill"
"Avoid fights, and Tranq for a quick getaway"
"Avoid fights, and Shoot to kill for a quick getaway"
"Avoid fights and use only the knife"
"Avoid fights, and never kill"

Each of those different styles gave me new experinces of the game each time, and never made the game boring or bleak. (Sadily, boss fights you'll either have to Tranq or Kill.)
