PS2 problems.

Okay, so here I am playing Sims 2 With Pets, and my PS2 freezes. I try to restart it, and it won't turn on. I unplug it,plug it back in, and turn it on. Still nothing. I didn't have any money to get it repaired, so I spend about 3 hours repairing it myself. Then, it starts working. I play it for about 5 minutes, and it freezes and brakes AGAIN. I swear, those things are made by raccoons, or something.

I have had my PS2 for 7 years, and have never had any problems with it.

^Your PS2 wasn't made by raccoons then.

(The big PS2's rarely have any problems. Mine is one of the small ones.)

I have a slim silver and one of the old chunky black ones. The old ones break down after X hours and a fuse has to be replaced the slim black ones do too, but in even less time.

Either pay to have it repaired (Really no other options here) or save to buy a new silver or white. Either way, you're going to need some money.

PS2 problems. You don't have PS2 problems. [b]I[b] have PS2 problems.

I take a trip to L.A, put my PS2 in my friend's car trunk. Get home the next day and leave the system in the back. Well, later it turned out that during the rain (YEP) he opened the trunk, forgetting its existence. *sighs* I dried it off as best I could but haven't had the heart to try it yet. I barely played the little bitch and I had just recently bought it. GOD.

Anyway, sorry for stealing the spotlight. =)

Don't bother getting it reparied (unless it has some sentimental value) you can buy a new PS2 for cheap with a load of games with itt. (Acrodding to Blockbuster magazine)

I dunno but recently I've been getting some weird flickering on my TV when I play my PS2. Then again, this is like a 20-year old wood-panel TV, so...

Electronics can actually survive the water, assuming they are A. Turned off, B. Dried off quickly (maybe even blow dried), C. Nothing is corroded too much.

You may be in luck if you dried it off quickly enough and nothing volatile corroded.

^ Tell that to my DS Lite.

But my PS2 is actually fine, even after bathing in a platic bag overnight. Well, the power cord needs to be tweaked to stay on, maybe there's a short or something, but overall it works fine.

Unfortunately that's because the DS Lite is smaller and more fragile than a bigger sized PS2. Think of how easily water damage affects a cell phone in that sense.
