Heavy Rain

A dark interactive drama that's practically bathing in the uncanny valley.

I'm not gonna go far as to post sources and quotes from other websites à la Val, since I'm not much of a PS3 gamer (plus the fact that I don't intend to get this game at the moment), but the concept and gameplay of this upcoming title certainly grabbed my attention. Context sensitive interactions? Selecting your character's thoughts? Manipulation of the plot through the fates of other playable characters? They're going all-out on the realism for this ~~interactive movie~~ game.

Also, as you can see, the derision you may have heard about this title anywhere else can only be justified by this trailer:

The game had been completed in my house. I actually didn't play, just watched.

The only problem with the game that I had were the eyes. There was something lifeless about them.

/v/ ruined the ending for me, but HOLY **** SCOTT SHELBY IS THE KILLER. My parents thought it was that mean police officer guy, though.

The ending with Norman and the tanks. What was with that? Was he hallucinating because of the trypto he didn't take or something? Widthdrawl? Seemed like it.

Also, is the rain at the opening/credits real or computer generated? I really want to believe that it's CG. That would be so awesome.

Just finished the bit after the Mall (at the start).

Not really liking the game so far. Clunky controls. Mundane tasks. Felt nothing when Spoiler Below

Jason being hit by a car.

Oh, well back to playing it.
