Sorry; I realise I'm not a regular on this forum. I was just wondering if anyone else had a copy of KD, and what they might think.

KD's one of those games that defy genre...

The story is, the King of the Cosmos went on a bender and knocked all the stars out of the sky, and his son (the player) has to replace them. To do this, he rolls a sticky ball around, and it picks up any junk he comes across. The ball starts out tiny, only able to pick up dice and thumbtacks and such, but it gets bigger and bigger, picking up people and cars, and, eventually, whole buildings. It's weird and disturbing, and utterly hilarious.

KD's dead good, really. The engine is rock-solid and the controls are intuitive. Graphics and sound are pretty good, and the music is phenomenal. I highly recommend it.

I think I once described KD's opening as Yellow Submarine on acidic crack. But yes, it will be the best $20 you'll ever spend.

I rented the game not too long ago. I had some fun, but it's not one of my favorites. It's ofen just the same thing again and again, but with a larger scale each time. I did really like the overall weirdness of the game and soundtrack, though.

The camera movement made me feel kinda sick after a while, so I couldn't play too much of it at once.

I played it, I liked it. There's just something really satisfying about starting rolling up thumbtacks and then progressing to enveloping entire ecospheres and minor deities.

Trust me, this game is wickedly, bizarrely awesome. The opening reminded me of Monty Python. O.O It is more fun than it has any right to be. =) I recommend it to most anyone looking just for a fun time. The King's dialogue is ALWAYS hilarious, and it is so fulfilling to get to the point where you can roll up small children. >=D From there, it just gets better! ^_^ Thumbs up!

I borrowed KD from a friend. I really liked it. I didn't think it looked that good until I played it. I was surprised how creative it was.

People who say the concept behind Katamari Damacy (roll around a ball, pick up stuff, make it bigger) is unique and original anger me. Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg already did that. Okay, it was an egg (but that thing in Katamari Damacy wasn't exactly a ball either), and the only thing you could roll up was fruit... and it had an actual game with it. Controls too.
