What do you mean "we're busy"? I thought the meeting was here..." One thing I didn't expect was to arrive early. Apparently, an auction was accually occuring inside. Not that I'm surprised - it IS an auction house - but our meeting was supposed to be here. I would think that the disturbing current events would come first but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, an auction had to be held here... "When is this going to end?" "Don't worry; this is the last item for sale..." "Geez, taking you're sweet time aren't you?" 30 minutes later... "Zzzzzzzzzz..." I dozed off waiting for an unreasonable amount of time for this damn auction to end already. Must've been a hot item... "YES! It's mine!!!!" "Ahhhhhhhh!!" I suddenly woke up from the massive amount of people piling out of the auction house. Finally, we can get our meeting underway. After the people piled out of the building (I'm kinda wondering why they're not sticking around...), I walked up to the front doors... "Is everything ready? The meeting supposed to start soon..." "Yes, of course..." I stepped inside with haste, trembling in fear and anticipation for (and of) the other arrivals... |

I can't remember some names and roles (due to completing the game nearly 2 years ago), but I'll try anyway. Roles to look out for: Town night-killers A Townie detective A Townie protector At least one thief (The rich-to-poor girl? Tingle? Tetra and crew?) Puppeteer or Ability-modifier roles (eg from last game the position swappers, the hostage situation) Status inflicters At least one "stump" transform role One slasher One independent with an unusual win condition Townies with independent communication channels (that green stone Link has?) Likely Chars: Link (obvious) The Faerie Queen or the Great Faerie (I never found the great faerie octo in my game, can anyone say what it did?) Valoo (probably a hostage until the insect is killed - so it's in the interest of the town to find that Mafia first) The King of Red Lions (I smell a person-swap role! Probably needs a "Sail" item first, like the Great Fairy from last game.) Medli Tetra (independent?) Grandma (potion maker?) Aryll (hostage!) Eskimo trader (Only if Sail is in game. Perhaps works with Teacher to help complete the town flowerpots for a townie-wide buff?) Kokiri Fiddler Any of the rich/poor 4 Orca (and perhaps his brother) Perhaps if Valoo/Jabun are in game, only KORL and Medli can understand them? More birdmen? (Postmen role from last game?) Tingle (oh god) (Thief? BDSM puppetmaster? ) (possibly independent)One man-fish mapper? Deku tree? The Killer Bees (played as one character? I smell spies) Likely Mafia: Ganondorf - invincible? Puppet ganon forms first? Hard to know. Helmaroc King - important enough to possibly be Mafia leader instead of Ganon - Mask as protection item? The Valoo-bug The Poe-conglomerate That plant that ate the Kokiri fiddler ... damn, I'm having trouble remembering the bosses. :/ Wasn't there a boss involving a sand room? Hmm. Independents?: The God-Tester (tower boss) The Moblin rich girl loves The divers looking for the Triumph Forks If anyone has a decently completed Pictograph Figurines museum, your contributions would be appreciated. Making this simple for the first day: Vote: Abstain (Another thing to note is the status effects are very telling. There's obviously a fire-based attack or two in the game. (Valoo? It's tail-pest? What doesn't make sense is Valoo burning down a house on Windfall.) The "clocked" status effect sounds like the Skull Hammer or an unarmed strike to me.) |

Well Unvote because everyone here thinks its a good idea (ITS NOT). Abstain has 0% chance of killing mafia and yields no information to go on the next day. |

Besides, what more could we expect to know tomorrow? Are we resting on the probablistic unlikelyhood that the investigator(s) catch a mafioso next night phase? Not voting Kargath though. |

I'll leave you to guess whether or not I'm following that suggestion. [/ooc] [ic] Baito walked into the Auction House on Windfall Island, his face rather glum and his mood rather reserved. It had been a long travel from Dragon Roost Island all the way over to Windfall, and unlike his Rito companions -- who simply flew across the Great Ocean in record time, he had to sail by boat... and wouldn't you know it? The wind was totally not in a convenient direction. He had just arrived this morning -- near without sleep -- and he was certainly not in the mood to be discussing the events of the past few days. Yet if there was one truth, being here was more important than sorting the mail for part-time wages, and so he might as well put a positive spin on it. "Well, if what the mail says is true, we've got some bad tidings going our way," he says with reserved excitement. "So... what should we do? Someone has to be responsible for it, and certainly we should find out exactly who's in charge. (I mean... I need to get back to sorting the mail...)" [/ic] --- double post --- I'm going to toss a random vote up into the air. *rolls a d20* *gets 16* Vote: Ian Last edited by The Missing Link; 01-26-2008 at 07:46 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Its all about connections, who brings arguements, who ignores them, who goes "me too!", who fence sits, who tried to lynch town and who tried to lynch mafia. Thats why there are things called "no power-role games" Furthermore, by your own logic you just have a dead body the next day when you nolynch. Last edited by heh; 01-26-2008 at 07:56 PM. TG, go sit in the corner for a while and stop acting like there's only one way to play this game. I'm with Kargath. What's the likelihood of lynching a Mafia? Or an evil Independent? I don't want to kill Townies from the get-go, just like last game. I'd rather see us all live until tomorrow, and lose just one Townie to a Mafia hit tonight, rather than put it at 2-0. |

I can say more about what's on my own mind this game. There are probably about 5 or 6 Mafia again... and I think others picked it out pretty well; there's no real way to root one out yet. So yeah, let's just talk today and take it easy. (I am probably not Mafia) |

True the man named Garrickson had checked it only thirty minutes ago but it was clearly time to check it again. As he walked to the mailbox near the entrance to the town he realized something was a little different. A large group of people were starting to crowd around the Auction Hall and there were large flyers posted on either sides of the doors. Garrickson could not see what was written on the flyers with everyone in the way however and quite frankly he figured it could not be as important as what he was currently doing. Leaving the crowd of noisy people behind Garrickson approached the lone mailbox and checked inside. He felt a little discouraged when he saw that there was nothing in there however, well nothing for him anyways. There was an envelope addressed Lenzo, probably something about photography which Garrickson had no interest in. There was a small package for Gossack, probably another prank in order to make him jump. Lastly there was an envelope addressed to Vera from Pompie, no doubt containing some bit of juicy gossip that was to secret for them to say to each others in public. Obviously the love of his life had not yet thought up a response to write him back with yet. Garrickson put his hand in his pocket and took out another envelope he had just written and put it in the mailbox. Maybe this one would spur her to see just how much he loved her. As he closed the door to the mailbox Garrickson's eye caught one of the flyers on the wall next to him. So, there was a meeting at the Auction Hall about all the recent violence that had plauged the Great Sea. Maybe he would check it out while he was waiting for a response back and besides, who knew, maybe he would write five or six letters more while sitting in there. Garrickson made his way up to the Auction Hall curious as to these recent "attacks" and planning out what his next letter would say. |

I don't know why it would be suspicious. Want to take an objective look at this with me? Mafia wants Townies dead. Mafia can get an "easy" kill on Day One. Mafia wants to avoid an Abstain vote, so they can get their easy kill. By all means, keep your FoS on people who don't want to throw a wild vote around, but stop and think about whether or not it's actually a suspicious thing to do, or if you're being led by the suggestion of others. |

To make that a little bit clearer, nobody's going to make much of a mistake this first day, and the only real things to look at are the words in each of these posts. You might think something's a little funky with how someone's acting a little bit, but you still can't get much farther than staring at them with one eyebrow raised. And I do support letting this day go on the full amount of time. |

I don't care if it is five days of worthless blabber. The more information we throw out on the table as far as suggestions, random theories, etc., the more we'll be able to work on in the future. I think Kargath probably does have a decent list of the possible players in the game. I would only disagree with him on the independent roles. None of them seem likely as independents in my opinion. I'm sure we can probably look at Mila as being a thief in this game, whatever alignment she may be. I think it's safe that the enemies in this game will be Ganon and Bosses. Maybe some badass mid bosses such as that ultimate Wizrobe that summons stuff. As for townies, there's no point in talking about it as of right now. Over time we'll probably get hints or confirmation on some of the roles. |

I have no problem with coming to no consensus/abstaining if there's no information outing a mafioso. That's very unlikely to be the case. |
