Yes, last game I was told if the person I investigated was a Hero. That's been standard in all the games here, thusfar. Hero is a person's alignment, as far as I can tell.

Again, that's not to say Daos hasn't done things his own way. None of us can be 100% on what he may or may not have given people as abilities.

Remove Independant from my possible readouts and you'd get Townie and Mafia. Ian claims to get Town and Evil.
Either way, it IS possible Daos did this to through us off... much like giving all vanilla townies different role names (villager, citizen, townsperson, etc.) or wording all win conditions differently. I think that's less likely.
BTW, if there's an 'Old Man 2' out there, don't claim.
...The numbering in mine does give the opportunity for the mafia to make a believable falseclaim. It implies there's an old man numbered at least a two, though there's no good reason to assume that.
If ian actually is independant... he's probably actually a lyncher and has to lynch the door-breaker but isn't telling us that. I remember Daos saying somewhere he wanted to put in a Lyncher role.

ian is the dude who lives either behind the rock door that you can bomb, or under the bush you can burn, and when you go talk to him he takes money to repair the door.

I don't see why he would need to see a person's alignment if he justs wants the person who broke his door. Why not just get readouts like 'guy who broke your door' and 'guy who didn't break your door?'

Well, I targeted Blake, and he came up evil. Don't know why, but it happend. You could lynch me and see that I didn't lie, or you could lynch Blake and nightkill me if he is for some reason not mafia.

...ANYWAY, I have never played the original LoZ. So I have NOO clue what to think about anyone's role-claims. All I can think of is:

-Ian's telling the truth, Blake is mafia.
-Ian's lying, Blake is innocent.
-Ian's telling the truth, but Blake is an innocent miller
-...they're both lying?

This is on account of me assuming I actually understand what is going on. Which is doubtful. :/
