I'd say that our propensity for striking mafia day one is sorely lacking, wouldn't you?












And rarely, day two, have we been able to corner mafia based on voting patterns (most of the time, it isn't about voting on day one, but hunches people go off of based on what is said the previous day).












Besides, I'm confident you're not going to lynch me for voting abstain, because, as I'm sure you've deduced since you're a sharp fellow Deku, I have my reasons for voting the way I do.

Look at it this way: a random vote has a 70-80% chance of putting us down 2 townies to the mafia. Not a good way to start the game.

Besides that you're willing to risk giving the mafia a huge advantage, it's also odd that you're so ready to say that we aren't going to look for information. Day 1 always starts off slow.

If we lynch a player at least we will have some information about people's voting patterns. Heck, at least I managed to obtain some information from other players by simply jumping into the spotlight. Had I not, perhaps Tazy's vote list would have been the last post in this topic as of right now.

Although I don't want eyes on me, at least we are taking advantage of the day now.

It's no coincidence voting randomly has such a poor success rate. The mafia can refuse to participate in a random lynch of one of their own and it's easy to justify, and they can participate in a random lynch of a non-mafia and they have little they can be called on to justify afterward.

Yeah that is true. I am in no place to lead a lynch since afterall I am nowhere near as convincing as HoTD. However, it is possible for the town to rally up and come to a consensus whether the mafia wants to vote or not. We're going to have to vote members off sometime and right now we can afford to take a risk of lynching a townie rather than say at a time near lylo.

Oh, when you said 'trap sprung' I automatically assumed you were hoping for other members to pile votes on Chunky with you. Because I actually did not roll a dice to determine who I was gonna vote for. I instead looked at who voted and determined that you are generally the player that is the most persistent in lynching, which is a goal I would like to acquire today for a change.

My first post in short:
Because of my role and the day 1 write up I pretty much know that...
- Bowser is in the game
- Bowser's army is in the game (aka probably his 'mafia')
- Players roles are not from a particular game. My role is from one of the lesser known games of the Mario series. This also means not so popular villains can be people such as Wart or Birdo despite the game taking place in what seems like Toad Town from Paper Mario. An unpopular character has been assigned to me (and quite possibly other townies).

Now for the whole lynching thing, I'm usually for day one lynches. After all, last game it DID HELP to nail some of the mafia-- their votes on 1-up helped reinforce my suspicions of them. Still, how much good this does in comparison to how bad it is to lose a townie so early is still up to debate.
