I just had a thought. Perhaps the rest of you have all figured it out already and thought it was obvious, thusly didn't think it was worth mentioning; however, maybe you DIDN'T. Anyway, here it is.

Think, guys. ANYONE here who's played MM should be able to answer this question- WHO LIVES IN THE EAST PENINSULA??

I admit that, when I first read this post, I just figured they were referring to the fact that the Zora live there, and paid it no heed.

However, I recently began rereading early posts to look for clues (and, admittedly, to kill time). I read this and IT STRUCK ME.

Mikau is washed ashore dead.

Who lives in the eastern waters... BESIDES ZORAS????

I'll give you a hint: overly made-up, tanned, all-female theives.

For those who haven't played MM, the Gerudo are pirates in this game... they are tricked by Majora into stealing Lulu's Zora eggs. They are ruthless thieves who attacked the Zoras to get the items. THEY HAVE NO LIMITS.

The key to this puzzle is that it says 'THE EASTMOST PENINSULA IS MOST DEFINITELY THE SECRET TO SOLVING THIS CRIME'. The only evildoers/murderers/baddies that hail to the peninsula are the Gerudo... so it's likely that our Slasher is a Gerudo pirate. This may not help us too much in the long run, but I wanted to throw this out there...

Thank you, CL. I have to say, it's been too long since I've played, I wouldn't have made that connection. Though, I don't know how relevant it will be, but still, it's something to go off of.

Also, looking back on everything, I realize that more people have in fact posted than I originally thought. So, I apologize for my earlier statement about the inactivity, since it seemed like a lot less people posted, when in fact only four haven't. Just apologizing, it's been a weird night and I'm struggling with this thing called "thinking..."

Though, I will say people need to post MOAR.

I agree with ZG, too... People DO need to post moar. As I've stressed before, with three killers each night... No matter WHO you are, it's VERY likely you'll die soon. I want to make the most of my time here... I want to post lots, think lots, encourage lots... AND GET THAT MAFIA AND SLASHER!!

And guys, if nobody's done the silly "I accidentally revealed my role" thing then the eastmost peninsula dealie can be taken in two ways.

1. Mikau was murdered at the ocean, so, you know. He was on that particular part of the map.

2. It was a hilarious reference to the original Legend of Zelda, where the eastmost peninsula had TWO heart containers out waiting for anyone with a raft and a ladder.

I wouldn't put too much weight on that particular point, which makes me feel guilty because it really worked last game due to hilarious foibles.

Well....I admit, the idea that the slasher is a Gerudo pirate had not occurred to me, and I can imagine scenarios in which such knowledge would be useful.

"Stab wounds to the back" really gives support to that theory, I think. I mean, I haven't played in so long, so if we determine which creatures use swords or knives (Link notwithstanding, I don't think he's really the slasher). But, when I hear "serial killer" I think, you know, something along the lines of being more human (that is to say, over something like a Stalfos, but what do I know?).

Haha, I'm just glad to be able to help. As I said, the first time I looked over that I disregarded it... however, I decided to reread early posts to get information (but mostly to kill time until someone else posted), and I thought... EASTERN PENINSULA... MURDER. I pondered it, and it all seemed to fit together.

However, we all must bear in mind that this is by no means absolutely correct... it just seems likely, that's all.
