Glitch in Metroid Prime - Page 2

I had that happen two times. Both times was going up elevators to the Chozo Ruins West part. It would freeze and the reset button wouldn't work so I had to turn the Cube off. Then when I went back up the elevators it was fine.

I started a 3th file to see if it would happen again(the other two times was on file 1 & 2)and it didn't freeze.

The only glitch is that after blasting a door it won't open when I run up to it. I have to move back and then go forward. That might not seem like a glitch but it doesn't stop there. When it won't open right away and I have to back up and walk towards it agagin the doors open but I can't walk through it. I get stuck for a bit, and then it just lets me pass after a few seconds.

Damn, this jsut happened to me while I was on the elevator back to Chozo ruins. Thankfully I saved at my ship just moments before.

I've never had a freezing glitch, but I've had another kind. You know those rooms with security drones in them, and how you have to destroy them before you can unlock the doors? Well, I destroyed them before I even went into the room so when I went in, the locks still activated and I was stuck.

I just had another freeze but this time it wasn't in an elevator. I was going leaving the room after you find the first Chozo Elder statue that chucks you through that little pipe line thingy. In the next room you go to where the Stone Toads are at on each side of the reflective pool. I unplugged the stopper at the bottom drained the water and opened up the passage way yadda yadda yadda. Anyway I fired open the door right after that room and went into the corridor and the game froze in the middle of the corridor. I tried to reset but the reset button didn't work.

I had just started playing so I know it wasn't due to over heating or anything, and after I turned it off and on again and got back to that same part it was fine. I guess it was just a minor glitch or something

I've had Metroid Prime freeze up three times in a row on the elevators! But after that, it never happened again...

I also get that door delay thing. Oh, well! Nothing I can do about it. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I ran into a new one yesterday. I was in the morph ball tunnel that leads to the X-Ray visor and I accidentally used a power bomb. Well the light from the power bomb never went away and I couldn't see a thing. I managed to get through to the visor and when I switched to it, I still got nothing but crazy bright light and had to reset.

I will bomb the testing department! I have this happen all the time! The only way to beat the game is with a hammer! AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I have play the game a lot and not once has the game ever froze on me, and the thing about the doors not opening right away it's because it's loading the next room.

The reason sometimes the doors don't open is because while you're in a room, the game's loading the rooms around you. If you travel through rooms very quickly, it won't have time to fully load, and therefore the door won't open. Just give it time. It happens to me a whole lot.

I've never had any other glitches happen... not to my knowledge anyway.
