Help me...I'm stuck in Prime!

Okay, I'm at like 51 percent, and need massive help to figure out where this Artifact thing in Phendrana is. I have the info for it...supposedly "invaders have put a tower on top of everything." And I have to collapse it to uncover the artifact. I know that there is a control tower, but I don't think I can destroy it. I don't know of any other towers! How do I obtain this artifact?!?!

Well, now I'm at 33%... I'm in the mining facility. And these Shadow Pirates.... gah. They kill me quite effectively...
But! I just realized-- the crashed frigate! It's the spaceship I started the game on, yes? Fufu! That's so nifty!
But...

Those pirate bodies that are floating in the water... They... just float up to the surface... and bob there...

hey dude are you the guy who can't find where to get that artifiact? Well it's in Phendrana drifts in a control tower. well that's no help! You have to go to the ruined court yard-Phendrana Drifts got the purple door (in front of you) eventually you get to that elevator place-thingy first you kill those pathetic excuse of aerial combat-those stupid aerial pirates after, you will see on the 2 doors you can slip in there, well go to one of them, (it's the one with more than 1 window). blow up one of those windows with the PLASMA beam, you will see this strange fuel cell thingy when you look across the window shoot with a missile, and this weird control tower will fall and in there u will find that artifact.

P.S. DOES anyone knows how to kill Metroid Prime, I have 13 energy tanks anyone knows any stratadgies?

13 energy tanks is more than enough I had nine and it was just about right. Anyway the outer shell part is just time consuming IMO. When it changes colors shoot it with the corresponding beam color.

Anyway when it is yellow don't use Super Missiles because he moves back and forth a lot and they usually just bounce off of him, just use charged shots.

When it is purple you can use charge shots effectively since the wave beam homes in or you could use the Wavebuster but it might drain your missiles, which is okay unless you want to conserve them for some reason.

When it's white is when it is the hardest I haven't found a good strategy for when it is white.

When it's red use the charged shot and Flamethrower.

When you doing all this you should be constantly side dashing to avoid it's attacks. Sometimes it will rush forward at you, when it does go into Morph Ball and into the trenches in the middle of the rooms.

After all that its shel breaks and it is pretty easy after that, just watch for the Phazon pools underneath it so you can blast him.

*final boss spoilers* The Ice Spreader is very, very effective against Metroid Prime. Super effective, even. It actually freezes it in place for a bit.
