| Guest | I'm trying to work on a screenplay that I want to present to the producers working on the Metroid movie but there a few questions that I have. In the game manual it says that the Galactic Federation was created in the year 2000 of the history of the cosmos. Wouldn't it make more sense if in the movie it could be in the year 20,000 because 2000 doesn't sound like a long time. Sure, a year of the cosmos could be longer than on Earth but not every person in the audience would realize that. This would help the audience to relate to the movie. |

| Guest | They'll either change the time, or they'll do the Star Wars "Long Time Ago, Far Far Away" thing. Video games into movies usually just don't work, because they change it too much from the game it was based on. If you need any more proof, compare the Super Mario Brothers games with the Super Mario Bros. movie. |

| Guest | Please beleive me my friends, I want this screeplay to be as close to the game as possible. I'm am well aware of the BIG MISTAKE that they did with the Mario movie. Since Metroid is in the future and in space it makes the movie easier to visualize. It will have that small essense of Star Trek but more beyond. |

| Guest | (Saw the topic from the main page, so I had to check it out and put in my two cents.) Screenwriter: A literate gamer familiar with the storyline. (So you qualify, Spotlight.) Directors: The writer and a guy who knows all the technical movie stuff. Style: Live action mixed with CGI. Samus Aran: Amanda Bynes Ridley, Metroids, Computers (voice): Me Opening narration: Anthony Hopkins Other voicework: ....unknown And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I've also been thinking about adding the Federation's top pilot who will help Samus to the surface of the planet. While Samus is on the planet she will have a few moments of communication with the pilot. That way she won't be talking to herself or to the camera. Can anybody think of any other important characters?

Chronos, you haven't seen any recent Bynes work, I can tell. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

| Guest | Yeah, that might work. I never saw Birds of Prey, though. (But as for the 'too young' thing, like I said, it'll be a couple years before shooting starts, making Bynes at least 19, at which point she could easily play 22 or 23.) And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

| Guest | Samus should be in her early 20s. The best thing I can think of for music is a score comprised entirely of the music from the games. I already said I'm having a hard time with figuring who to cast as the other characters. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |
