Thumbs up

Much better. The orange buttons and header clashes with the bright green forum background, but I think it's just the green that's gotta go. But definitely much better. Care to let me on how you did the background for the header?

Red face

Sure.

I used Adobe Photoshop, and I started out with these brushes I had downloaded (I believe from www.spoono.com). They just had a bunch of swirlies in them, so I just dabbed a few of them here and there. The lines could easily be emulated by just picking a normal brush and making swirls and stuff. For these I used a redish kinda color.

Then I made a new layer, and drew some bold white lines here and there, and added a bunch of gaussian blur to them. Then I duplicated the layers I had, and messed with the opacity and 'effect' (normal, multiply, screen, lighten, pin light.. etc.). Then I combined all my layers and changed the colors to the oranges. Then I added the text (the 'Metroid' is the font called Ringbearer I found online), and added 'styles' to it. 'Metroid' has a black outline, with black outer-glow, and blue inner-glow.

That's really all I did. If you messed around some you could easily do something like it. I'm sorry I couldn't be more detailed, it's been awhile since i made them.
