A metroid movie would be great. There are distinct ways it would work though.
1.It is a computer generated animation, like one of my recent favs, Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. Getting it done like that was would be great.
2.The movie is not the same exact thing as the games, but a full thing on the chozo, what happened to them, and what happpened to samus' family, how she got the suit, and so on. A lot of the stuff people think what happened simply are rumors that worked very well that were started way back when. (not all of it though.)
3.The only way a dialouge fill is possible is samus being cocky and laughing at her prey and her getting missions from a computer (like adam[fusion]) or an actual person that hire's her.

Yikes guys, this topic is almost a year old. Try to watch what you're bumping, okay? If you want to talk about it, it's always safe to make a new topic - if the previous one is, you know, really old.

As far as the movie goes - the Super Metroid comics worked pretty well for me. Lavendar colored hair = a plus. If they could follow that lead set by any of the comic/manga series so far, I would be pretty satisfied.

I thought the Super Metroid comics were a joke myself. Even around the time of the game's release I thought they were pretty dumb.

Ah, I enjoyed the old Super Mario World and Zelda comics (though the end of the Zelda one was really rushed). This should be good.

I understand that the Metroid comic was canceled and they only gave the writer one month to finish it up, so that's why it gets all insane at the end.

*shakes head* I'd really rather you would have made a new topic.

No, I don't think there really is a Metroid movie in the works. We would have heard more for it, already. It looked about dead-in-the-water as soon as they announced it.

There really should be a Metroid movie. If they made a CGI Metroid film with Ridley and Kraid in it it would be positively orgasmic. Just the thought of a gargantuan CG Kraid stomping accross Brinstar's surface makes me tingle with glee.

Let's just pray to God that if they do make a Metroid movie, it isn't another SMB.

Pamela Anderson would make a pretty horrible Samus. I don't think you really mean that.

Naw, you really have to think along the lines of great actresses.. The kind you don't normally see in that situation. Besides, she doesn't have to be blonde or anything. Samus has had green, purple, and blonde hair. Probably even brunette, too. As long as they don't do something stupid like signing someone just because they're a big name, I'm cool with it. I'm sure, for example, that Charlize Theron could do a good job. You tend to reckognize her name, but not because of trashy grocery store magazines. She made a pretty sweet Aeon Flux even with a dodgy script, so I could put my faith into her as Samus.

Cynthia Rothrock would've been perfect but she's too old now.

Charlize Theron? Great actress, but could you really take her seriously as Samus? She seems too... she just doesn't seem right for that kind of role. But then again, I never saw Aeon Flux.

^ I agree. I would just want to see a good looking, blonde actress. If not naturally blonde, then DYE IT.

Charlize would look horrible with blonde hair. Milla Jovovich could probably get the part. Ever see the movie Ultraviolet?
