Question What's your favorite Metroid boss/miniboss?

Personally, I think giant kraid just owns everything, but the mainstays of the series aside - I think I most like the Crocmire from Super Metroid, or the Phantoon. They were some really spot-on designs. I love how the Crocmire dies in the lava, and you can watch the air bubbles from him moving to the left, and then his massive skeleton bursts through the westward wall. Then again, the Spore Spawn was pretty damn sweet, too

If I had to settle on one from the entire series, I'd definitely go with the Crocmire.

I forgot its name, but I really liked the battle against that giant four-legged robot in Prime 2. I think it's cool to play such a small character (especially because you were often in morph ball form) against such a huge enemy. I also liked how you had to use all the morph ball abilities to climb up it and destroy it.

The bot's name is Quadraxis or somthin like that.

Omega Pirate and Thardus own. I don't really like the 2D bosses that much.

How unfortunate. If it weren't for the creativity funnelled into Super Metroid, there would likely be no more Metroid series. The Omega Pirate was kinda cool, but he was a real bitch to kill (without reading any guides).

I've played Super Metroid for a collective 3 minutes. I was born the year the system came out(I think), so it's not really my fault.

Ridley is pretty sweet, but I've seen him re-used in every game since Super Metroid, so the point is moot.
