It's about friggin' time.

Beat Metroid Prime today. I must have started and re-started that game at least 5 times, and finally I mustered up the boredom to make it all the way through.

Great game. The Metroid Prime battle was too tedious, but the final form made it worthwhile. (BLAM BLAM BLAM PHAZON LOL = good times)

Yeah, and if the Prime kills you at all, it's really irritating to go back and fight through all of its phases again.

Worst part of the game = fusion metroids. That, and fighting those stupid ghost chozos every time you enter one of their chambers, even if you're just passing through. Seriously, though, the game is actually challenging. Retro did a much better job than any other Nintendo studio could have... I just wish they would commit to making their newer games more in the vein of the Metroid series, as Echoes was kind of watered-down in the way of that feeling. I also hope Prime 3 doesn't obsess over action so much, and has more emphasis on exploration as the first Prime had.

The Chozo ghosts were annoying but could be killed pretty easy, and I just wasted all my power bombs on the fusion metroids because I had 6 of 'em. But the first one I faced I was like "OMGTWFBBQ"

All through the Metroid Prime battle I was like "pleasedon'tdieIdon'twannadothisagain pleasedon'tdieIdon'twannadothisagain pleasedon'tdieIdon'twannadothisagain"

^ Once upon a time, Intelligent Systems was the biggest and baddest development studio under Nintendo, yes. Unfortunately, Paper Mario does not a badass reputation make. If they made Metroid Prime, they likely would have screwed it up pretty badly.

Paper Mario's a good game.

I suppose you hate Fire Emblem, too?

Haven't bothered to play it, strategic rpgs aren't my style (rather boring). Paper Mario is just a wannabe sequel to Mario RPG.

It's not supposed to be a sequel to SMRPG.

Tell me how it links to SMRPG.

Besides that it's Mario.

He never said it did, he just said it pales in comparison.

Which it does.

But arguing with AI on RPGs is like arguing with a 3 year old about vegetables. They just don't like 'em is all.

Not the topic for it. You haven't even bothered to really stay remotely related to the discussion.

Kraid wouldn't have made sense in Metroid: Prime, he became ridiculously huge in Super Metroid. How would they have gotten him off Zebes? Unless this was before he was so gigantic, in which case you would find yourself thoroughly underwhelmed. Hell, it didn't make sense when he was huge in Zero Mission, it was hinted at in Super Metroid that he'd been exposed to the same kind of super-sizing radiation as the metroid hatchling or the absurdly large side-hoppers.
