Should I get Hunters?

Just a simple question. Since I did like Prime 1 and 2, I was thinking about this. Problem is, I heard the Story Mode is lame. Of course, I also hear that, while Wi-Fi is fun, there are a number of glitches. Should I risk it and get it?

Story mode was pretty lame. I played through it once, just to unlock some extras.

Multiplayer mode was a lot of fun, but the whole game suffers from lazy or amature programing. Players fall through walls and floors. People have figured out how to change one character's short range freezing attack into a move that instantly reachs across an entire level and passes through walls, all because of bad hitbox programing. People can actually randomly become invisible and/or invincible in a few levels because of a gitch in the teleporters.
Hell, a while back somebody discovered that if you put a certain programing language in your name it really freaked the game out, up to and including breaking the games of anyone you play against. Nintendo fixed that danger by putting a filter on their servers that stops anyone with a glitch name from connecting, but it's absurd that something like that even made it into the finished game. Worst of all, several cheating programs have been made for the game, and it's not unusual to end up in a match against a cheater that uses it to make themselves invincible, allow them to fly, or even 1hit kill you.
Even if they don't use that, many players use the glitches and bugs built into the game itself to get nearly the same results.

Hunters was a great game once, before all these bugs were found. Now you should just save your money.

^ Basically everything I had expected.

But not everything I had hoped.

I was really excited about Hunters, but when it was released, I was a bit underwhelmed. The controls aren't configurable, and the option to shoot at wherever you tapped on the screen has been removed. After all the FPS games I've played and am good at, I just couldn't bring myself to re-learn something I could normally do without so much as a thought to the process.

At the same time, if you want another online title for the DS, this is one of the few that comes with the ability. For whatever reason, we're not seeing any more online-capable games being released.

On the plus side, the level design for the multiplayer areas was excellent. You can only have up to 4 player matches, but it always felt like there were more, because even though some of the areas were large you were still always running into people.

It also had a bunch of different play modes and the different hunters were pretty cool, if not well balanced.

I'll take it back. The game is worth playing, if and only if you have a bunch of friends to play against.
