| Guest Posts: n/a | I'm a Meroid newbie, and I've only played Prime and Fusion (and a little bit of NES Metroid). I'm a little confused about the order of games and on which planet every game takes place. Can anyone explain it for me? |

Took place on Planet Zebes, but Nintendo made a booboo and translated it as Zebeth. Metroid Prime - Takes place between the original and Metroid 2. Samus goes to Tallon IV to see what the Space Pirates are up to. In the same Solar system as Zebes. Metroid 2: Return of Samus - Takes place on the planet SR388. Samus is sent to eradicate the Metroid race, but she doesn't kill one last hatchling she finds as she escapes from the planet. Super Metroid - Samus goes back to Zebes after Ridley destroyed the Space Station and stole the Baby Metroid. Samus is to find it at all costs. Metroid Fusion - Samus goes to SR388 with a research team and is infected by the X parasite. Large portions of her Power Suit become corrupted by the parasite and are removed. They send the parts to the research station above SR388 and after Samus is cured, she is sent to investigate an explosion. |

Also, Zebeth isn't entirely incorrect. Considering in Japanese it's Zebesu, and 'su' can either be translated into 's' or 'th' when going from Japanese to English. But I prefer the Zebes translation to Zebeth. [ October 10, 2003, 10:41 PM: Message edited by: Link the Survivor ] |

| Guest Posts: n/a | It was indeed a typo. Da Metroid also IMed me about this, but thanks anyway. I was mostly confused about what Brinstar was; I always thought it was a different planet than Zebes. |

I guess you could count the Wrecked Ship too, but I don't. Brinstar just happens to be the most popular since it is where Samus began her journey. |
