from the looks of the data on Zero Mission, it is going to be like some of the Disney movies that were recently rereleased: basically the same but with more stuff jammed into it. it is just an enhanced version of Metroid on the NES...

No it's going to have a fleshed out story and new items along with some classic. Also new bosses and supposedly more areas.

It's the original converted to a Super Metroid/ Metroid Fusion hybrid kind of game... Very interesting. I wish they got a similar artist, though. Hell, they could have used the tilesets from Super Metroid and made me happy.

I like the art...does that make me dumb?

But seriously, Zero Mission is NES 'Troid except portable and you can actually aim the gun instead of just shooting forward.

I heard something about 'fake lava' which you jump into but it disappears when you do so you don't get damaged.

it was originally going to be but the new generation of gammers are smarter and they decided to give the game one of the Biggest OVERHAULS in Ninty history taking it from Metroid to something that is almost completely new in comparison.

I don't know about that. They changed the story for one, because the newest generation of gamers are used to being spoon-fed stories

Well, being "spoon-fed" a story seems to make more sense. It's a lot easier to reel you into the game if it has an exciting storyline. Besides, it makes more sense than just sticking you in the middle of a planet with nothing but armor and a gun while having no idea what's going on.

On second thought, I'll probably get this game. As long as it has new stuff. Although I don't see why Nintendo didn't just make a completely new Metroid game if they bothered to make 70% of it new.

This way they don't need to think of a way for metroids to be alive... or Kraid... or Ridley... or the Motherbrain. Besides, borrowing from the original could be a great thing if they do it right.

edit: so tired... so many typeos...

Which is why I'm thankful for the bonus in Prime. Now if I could just find my copy of Fusion... *sob* I can't find it anywhere...

Still, Zero Mission looks interesting.

(spoilers)
most of the new content is after killing Mother Brain 'cause samus somehow loses her suit and must travel to Zebes to replace it but without her suit. This means a decent portion of the game Samus won't have her suit. Those parts are bound to either have pansy enemies or mostly stealth. Samus would likely be killed quickly by most enemies without her suit.

I have the rom. It's quite good. But if anyone gets the game/rom KILL THE WORM. You'll get the charge beam and you'll need it.
