She doesn't exactly have a sights anywhere on her beam-arm-cannon. Anyone want to hazard a guess? I very vaguely have some idea of sensors measuring the trajectory. |

You ever tried looking down the length of your forearm? Doesn't work too well unless you're holding your arm pretty much straight out from your shoulder, or leaning your head way the hell over to that side. |

Hey, here's an idea--little camera just above the gun aperture. Feeds directly into her helmet HUD, either in the form of targeting information, or an actual live feed she can watch (akin to those awesome 'shoot from around the corner' camera/gun jobs the Israelis developed for urban warfare). |

Those have sights on them, too, durr. I was actually wondering if there was some sort of system where she clenches her pinky or something and the arm locks up or freezes, so she can give her arm a rest. Or maybe the suit's life support system actually taps into her nerves and intercepts muscle-commands to her body, and moves the arms automatically. Neutral pressure would mean no movement. |

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Call me old fashioned but the idea of some bad ass woman who can shoot the mitochondrial fibers off a metroid using a hand held water gun filled with piss and vinegar, sounds more appeasing to me, than if I were to find out that her crack shot aim originated more or less from some computer device. The lady who’s aim is a perfect mix of natural talent, refined skill and little bit of luck can be my Samus anyday. |

She probably picked up some good hand-eye coordination during her training. Besides, it's Samus. She doesn't need fancy computers to get the job done. She can kick serious ass even when she's half-naked. ![]() |

Then again, she only has her arm raised in the 3-D games. In the 2-D platformers, she always held the blaster in place with her other arm. |
