Hey, that's pretty nice of them. Bundling them together like that.

There've been rumors flying around, but I never expected them to sell all three on one disc. That is pure awesome.

Here's another article, a bit more in-depth:

Hands-On: Metroid Prime Trilogy Brings Entire Series to Wii | GameLife | Wired.com

So there are a few graphical enhancements like bloom effects, and shorter loading times. Sounds kickass. I can't wait for the Australian release date to be announced.

Aaaaand.. here's a video from the japanese release of MP1 on the Wii, to showoff controls/screen ratio, etc:

Looks nice, but with no income, I'll have to save my limited budget for something 100% new.

Or if they load this out with extra features. Then, yes, maybe.

Considering it's a 3-in-1 pack, it's more like you're paying $16.50 per game. Sounds pretty awesome to me.

Sounds awesome.

Should I sell my old copy of MP3 now, or wait first to see if they announce MPT will have 20% of the content present in the original games, or it'll be on one disc that's actually made of seven smaller discs, or that Jar Jar Binks will be making an appearance as your slapstick sidekick, or some bummer like that?

^God damn it, now I can only imagine JarJar being saved from a Sheegoth, and later destroying Ridley. Gah.

Note to self: Take Echoes & Corruption off birthday list. Add this instead.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

It is very cost-effective... ...but will it support loading old saves? MP3, MP1, MP2 saves?

^ I sincerely doubt it. All the more reason to play through the games again, anyway. I'm not getting this thing to let it gather dust on a shelf.

All reports say the japanese port of MP1 was generally unaltered aside from controls, although there is some new voiced narration for parts that were previously text-only in the states(ala the PAL editions of the Primes), but that's nothing too heavy. If you were gonna trade in MP3, I'd do it before Trilogy is released to get a premium price for it.

Eh, what the hell. I'll trade it in and use the credit to pay at the Punch-Out I preordered.

Cool. Too bad I'm already starting MP on GC. I'll still get this, probably. The great thing is that MP's graphics even look like Wii graphics, so they won't need to improve them.

If you preorder at Gamestop, you also get a t-shirt.

I'm doing that tomorrow along with Scribblenauts.
