And they need to move the gameplay away from dodge-centric combat, the slower characters don't match up between anyone with skill. I shouldn't lose just because I chose the strong ones and can't get a hit in for failing of the time required to execute a move, I used to use Falcon and Samus for everything. BTW, for the sake of thongs: ![]() |

Glitches for Samus in Super Smash Brothers: Melee: Extended Grapple Rope: Press the Z Button(grab command) and while the Grapple Robe is extending, rapidly press Up on the D-Pad(taunt command) until the grab animation is finished. If done correctly, the Grapple Rope should grow twice as long before retracting. If not, start over by pressing the Z Button again and repeat. Once activated, not only will the Grapple Rope be twice as long, but you can make it home in on opponents by holding the L Button and pressing the A Button to grab (keep holding L until the animation is finished). The catch is that it will no longer automatically grab the opponent. To grab, you must press the A Button again while the end of the Grapple rope is on the opponent. The effect lasts until the end of the match or until you are KO'd. If KO'd, you must repeat the activation. ---------------------------------------------------- This is a pretty interesting glitch I found and I kind of doubted it until I pulled it off. The homing effect can actually grab opponents that are behind you! It's kind of cool, but sometimes takes a ton of tries to get right and other times I got it right on my first try. You have to repeat it every time you get KO'd. Samus pwns. |

In a one-on-one, KO your enemy off the top and they will be stuck flailing in the background and respawning, giving you about three whole seconds, enough time for at least three or so attempts. In a four-man free-for-all, characters can get quite distracted, especially with items like Warp Stars, Starmen, Cloaking Devices, Party Balls, and most notably, Pokeballs (think about Entei and Ho-oh). Or someone just has one or two people trapped in a combo. C'mon, if you have enough time to charge up your B attack, you have enough time to use the glitch. EDIT: Thinking about the mechanics of a homing attack, sometimes I wonder if it was an actual "glitch". It seems more like a cheat code by the programmers. Homing Grapple Rope? That's awfully convenient for a glitch... |

Honestly, you're better off using the gap to get items or into a prepared location. |

Forever. Oh well. I'm big on Street Fighter now anyway. The games are better than I ever gave them credit for, but they're kinda broken, competitively. |

Competition isn't all it's cracked up to be. I'd rather play Terran in Starcraft any day over the Protoss, but they've got a lot of huge advantages thanks to the expansion. Doesn't mean I don't win, it just means I don't play Terran the same way I'd play Protoss. |
