Samus needs a new gun.

Her arm cannon is equipped to do ridiculous things already, but there's surely something missing! What would be your choice of her next weapon?

I'm leaning towards a Bee Cannon. It fires angry bees. :3

HOUSE FREEMAN HAS THE BEE CANON COVERED

Personally, I want Samus's beam weapons to go back to their abstract roots. One with huge knockback would be a huge help, to start. Anyone got any good gameplay ideas for a beam cannon?

Here's a few I thought of. Most are probably too impractical.

Assault Rifle - Shoots armor-piercing rounds, like a Galactic Federation rifle. Needs ammo.
Spread Beam - Think shotgun.
Force Beam - Not damaging, necessarily, but pushes enemies and objects backwards.
Incendiary Missile/EMP Missile - Sort of like Ice Missiles, but with fire or electrical effects rather than ice.
Grenade Launcher - Sort of like the Missile Launcher, but... the projectiles bounce.
Reflect Beam - Shoots a beam that bounces off walls, potentially hitting more targets.
Gravity Beam - Pick things up, throw them around, drop them. Works like any other gravity gun.
Fondue Beam - CHEEEEEEEEEESE

If the speedrunning community is to be believed, we need the wood beam.

A sniper rifle, the one in hunters don't count!

You know what would be so bad? If all of her suit's abilities could be combined into a single gauntlet of some sort....if you will, a Power Glove.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I would love a gravity gun, like Val suggested. That'd be pretty boss.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but...

Also, I think Samus should have a drill weapon. Yeah, that'd be awesome.

Now that's out of the way, a Needler from Halo would be perfect for this bounty hunter

A laser that could bounce off of walls or a constant lader stream you could reflect off of mirror-esque plates on walls to solve puzzles would be cool.
