Another Hidden Code?

Quote:
"That's why the NARPAS SWORD easter egg (unlocked by entering NARPAS SWORD0:000000 000000)
which would unlock infinite health, the Ice Beam, and more, wasn't discovered until
recently. The game makers never announced the code. They weren't intended for leaks or
viral promotion, coming from a crazy ancient time where

a) people got excited about half-naked 8-bit characters, and

b) games contained things that weren't determined by marketing."
My dad sent this to me, with the quote above being taken from an article on the code. I've yet to try it. Figured you guys would be interested.

I tried that out a few years back. When you run out of health, it just...loops or something. Hard to describe and remember.

I think that was the only time I've actually beaten Metroid.

I've done this more than once before.

NARPAS SWORD0 is another gibberish code which just fulfilled the requirements of the automated code system, and it's actually pretty old news. It doesn't even follow the tidy format of
Code:
JUSTIN BAILEY
------ ------
You can even use software like the Metroid Password Generator to create your own codes for the game. All the text has to do is identify as a valid syntax for the password subroutine, similar to a CD key or Serial Number in current PC software, but more primitive.

Narpas Sword - Wikitroid, the Metroid wiki - Metroid: Other M, Metroid Prime 3, Metroid Prime 2, Super Metroid, and more

The wiki claims it "was purposefully built into the game and will not check with password generators"

Wrong? Right? I don't know myself...

NAR password would actually make sense, if that's at all true. It would just be a test pass, maybe for Narihori, then, similar to the Konami code.
