1st Weekly Metroid Character: Mother Brain

Name: Mother Brain

Bio: Mother Brain is probably the most used villain. She has become a metroid icon. Here is a bio from bogleech.com:

Leader of the space pirate forces and the main villain of the metroid series. At first, motherbrain is confined within its tank as it was in the first game, but once you break through the glass and "kill" it, the floor collapses out from under you and the seemingly dead brain sprouts a huge new body with a retractible neck. In this form the Mother Brain shoots energy bursts from its hands, toxic bombs from its mouth and a deadly psychic ray that never misses. The battle against her is considered one of (if not the) greatest final battles in video game history, and involves the friendly "baby" metroid. Mother Brain is actually reffered to by all official sources as male, but as a disembodied brain it technically isn't anything. It was a she in the cartoon "Captain N", where it starred as the main Villain. (Samus was only a secondary reoccuring character in the show) Only missles or a fully charged beam can damage it in any of its forms.

Anyhow, Mother Brain is a Metroid Icon, right next to Samus and Metroids. Ridley's better though. Mother Brain is a tough one, and definetly harder than Ridley. Ridley is simpler than Kraid! I think Mother Brain has appeared in every Metroid Game.

I just realized: Mother Brain isn't the head of the Space Pirates. Ridley is. Or at least was or something...

Mother Brain was only a tool of the Space Pirates, originally used by the Chozos to maintain planet Zebes. Ridley was and is the highest up known leader of the Space Pirates.
