Weekly Metroid Character #2! Ridley and the Space Pirates

Off topic: This is literally on time!
Ridley and his underlings:
You know him, and you love him, its the reptilian flying Space Pirate leader, Ridley! Yes, Ridley is Intelligent, but looks like a maniacal rabid beast. He's easier than Kraid In Metroid: Zero Mission, which is odd. He unlocks Tourian for you. I personally find him to be the most awesome, coolest Boss Character. Now Ridley has many mysteries, such as:
How does he survive all of that? Is he some kind of death beast, that survives off of his own deaths? Does he even die? Why does he control the Space Pirates, why does he have a Mecha Form, and a Robot Form, and why do those Mutant Lobsters trust him? In fact, why are the Space Pirates all mutant-like beasts( Ridley-Some sort of lizard and a Bat. Space Pirates- Humans and Lobsters)? Space Pirates are different than Ridley:
They are Underlings, not rulers over themselves.
They are Lobster like.
They shoot beams out of they're hands.
Ridley seems to be the only non-lobster beast member! Now, discuss!!!

He is awesome. I am getting an avy and it is gonna be him flying! HE IS MY FAVORITE METROID CHARACTER!

I was going to get the pictures today. Ridley, a Space Pirate, and an Ultra Pirate.

Ridley rules. But since you're bringing up the Space Pirates as well, I suppose I should make mention of this: Don't forget the Keyhunters. The flying insectoid creatures that appeared the most in Super Metroid, that you could shoot the wings off of. They also spat acid. Those were also supposedly intelligent space pirates.

you know, ridley looks more like a dragon than anything else. well, except that robot form at the end of zero mission. but honestly I think Ridley is some sort of space dragon.think about it, he breaths fire, he can fly, and he can use his tail and claws as a weapon just like a dragon can.

And he can fly in space, as seen in Metroid Prime and suggested in Super Metroid.

Ridley technically isn't their leader. That's the Mother Brain's niche.

But if you read the Space Pirate Logs in Prime I very carefully, it suggests that Ridley is possibly a head operative that [Space Pirate] Command uses for special missions (like Tallon IV security). Chances are, however, that they control him, and not the other way around.

That doesn't change the fact that he's a wicked cool bad guy that'll go down as a classic enemy.
