Have any of you all here heard any OFFICIAL news stating that Samus will be strapped with JUST the Power, Dark, and Light beams, or will there be four (or more) like the previous game?

I think you get the original 4 weapons you got in the first game, but you can modify them to fire on light and dark levels...

Of course, this is only a theory...

Actually, the last beam that Samus get's is called...the Annihilator Beam. Don't know much about it, but with a name like that, it has to kick some ass. And I know her the suits she gets.

I'm not in the know on this one. Rest assured, the game will kick some ass.

I read on the website of the store I buy all my games that the screw attack is back as well. I could post the story here, but it's in Dutch.

You know, now that you mention that superplyr, I remember viewing some streaming videos of the multiplayer portion of the game (cube.ign.com) and they showed that Annihilator beam (however you spell it) and they mentioned that it supposed to be the fusion of the Light and Dark beams, but they didn't mention whether or not it would be in the main single player campaign...head over to IGN and check it out.

Hmm...you're not talkin bout those Light and Dark suits are ya? I'm not sure what the heck the purpose of the Light is, but I do know that the Dark suit lessens the damage she takes in the Dark realm...hmm.

Actually, the Dark suit protects you from being infected by the Ing. The Light Suit protects you from the Dark World.

Just to clarify, its Power Beam, Light Beam, Dark Beam, and Anhilator beam. No ice or plasma. And, unless we have a "Phazon Beam" type thing at the end, those are it. But, but, but, we have several new moves like the aforementioned Screw Attack.

I think that the Annihilator Beam is the "Phazon Beam" thing...

Anyway, there is no way of getting the actual Phazon Beam because of the best of the endings in Prime 1...

Samus Looses the Phazon Suit to Metroid Prime who inhabits it in order to survive.

One question, is the spoiler warning even necessary for Prime's Best Ending?

True. That's Dark Samus. I'd put spoiler tags on it, but I don't think they're neccessary.

*SPOILERS*

There is a similar beam to the Phazon Beam in the last fight with Dark Samus. At one point she'll dispel some Phazon particles where you use the Charge Beam to absorb them and fire them back at her. But other than that no, no Phazon Beam. The Annihilator is pretty cool though.

*END SPOILERS*

I played the demo. This game rocks. Hopefully we'll get more moves.

I've got the game. Pretty sweet.

But I havea fear that the game is going to be beaten very soon, which will make me very, very sad. I guess it's because I already have both the Light and Dark beams.

Haha. You get those two right away. If you just got the Light Beam, you've got practically the entire game ahead of you. I've Grapple Beam, Dark Suit, Dark Visor, Multi-Missile Launcher, Darkburst, a few others. This game is sweet.
