The X probably were all over the planet, since the Metroids preyed apon them. however seeing as though metroids are rendered weak by cold, it makes since that the X would congregate at the poles of the planet doesn't it? They would most likely go there to avoid the Metroids.

Theoretically, yeah. That would make sense. And if there were Iceland creatures there as well, more than likely the X infested them

Unhappy

Of course, if they brought the Iceland creatures to the station, the stationwould have been infected regardless of the SA-X and perhaps earler. Interesting.

That's assuming that the planet had cold poles. There's not really any evidence to suggest that it did.

Actually, weren't ALL the animals infested when they were brought up to the station?

That there would be Samus's fault, seeing as she is the one that killed off the Metroids.

No, according to the story all the X on the station came from the first SA-X and spread from there.

It's a little vague about it, but I think Crav is right. (It mentions afterward that 'the specimens brought back have been infested' ... but this is after the whole dealie with the suit turning into the SA-X. The suit was the first thing.)

It is sort of Samus' fault that the X came into dominance once again, but it must be said that she certainly didn't intend or forsee it coming, and it was an accident stemming from a noble goal. (Think of that next time you wipe out a whole species sans one, Ms. Aran! XD) But she more than made up for that error, and no one save for herself suffered due to her actions (well, and the creatures on the Space Lab and the scientists... but they don't count. >_&gt
