I had heard about this a few weeks ago. Too bad Metroid is also going the way of the spinoffs, but as long as they keep making quality core Metroid titles, I'm happy (the amount of Mario spinoffs is far too high, and there is still no sign of Mario 128).

"Metroid" and "Pinball" do not belong in the same sentence (sans this one), much less the same game title.

Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there!

It doesn't take away form the other games, so what's the big deal?

Actually, Samus already made an appearance in Galactic Pinball for the VB.

If we learned a thing from Sonic Spinball, it's that GAME DEVELOPERS ARE RETARDED.

...Oh, come on. "A sleek sci-fi adventure" ...

IT'S A ****ING PINBALL GAME.

They give this a "story", and I'll ****ing gut them.

I saw a bit of the gameplay, and it's... intriguing. O_o() And then I recalled, I haven't played a good pinball game in forever. Perhaps...

I liked Sonic Spinball.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

That Nintendo, armed with craploads of bad ideas and obviously still having learned nothing from Mario is Missing and Pokemon Channel, is wasting their time on yet another stupid spinoff instead of spending that time working to improve future game releases.

His "NO NO NO" was a link to the IGN page about Metroid Pinball.

You mean Samus?

Second of all, simply look at who the developer is. Fuse Games has only developed one other title, which was also a pinball game. Retro isn't spending any time on this at all.

One of the biggest charms of the Metroid series was that Nintendo never whored it out like Mario or Zelda.

I don't really think Zelda is whored out. I know you're not a fan of the Capcom titles, but the only other thing I can think of is Four Swords.

Mario, on the other hand.

Soul Caliber 2

CD-i

..That atrocious cartoon, and bad bad Dark Horse comic book series. Yeah, just tossing the licensing at Capcom is pretty ****ty, but they've done worse.

Let's not forget the rest of Nintendo's track record... Pokemon, Kirby, DK..

I loved Link in SCII.

I totally forgot about the CD-I games. I don't know what Nintendo were thinking when they licensed those.

Except that they really ARE wasting their time. If they want to make money, then people are going to have to buy their games and their systems if they want to play the games. And if they want people to play their games, then they want them to be good. What they need for the DS are games that people will actually want, games that people would actually buy a DS just to play! I highly doubt a pinball game would convince more people to buy a DS, even if Fuse Games does a good job with it.
