Post Metroid Movie.

I Skimed over this Board and found the no one has posted anything about the fact that a Metriod Movie is set to come out in 2007.

So what do ya think.

I hope they try to make a Trilogy, Since thats how the Games origonaly worked, Metriod, Metroid II and Super Metroid, then no new games where made for nearly 10 years.

It was, but it's up again.

So far....no news on it's currant status, with the exception Paris Hilton tried out for Samus's position. If the director is smart, he won't even let her in.

House of Wax, starring Paris Hilton.....as wax.

The only thing we know for sure is that John Woo is producing it. There were rumors (notice the emphasized word) that he would also direct, and that they were talking to Jolie, but those are just rumors.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Jolie can't get the part, really. She's already Lara Croft.

I thought Woo was going to direct, not produce. Anyway, I'm not too fond about this idea. Game to movie hardly ever works (as does the opposite).

I think it could Work if they go for a Trilogy.

I liked Resident Evil Apocalips.

I have only seen four game-to-movie movies:
SMB
Street Fighter
MK
MK: Annihilation

and of these four, none of them keep to the game's storyline that good... then again the two Tomb Raider movies were good in the box office, as was the second RE movie.

If it does come out in '07, I am going to see the premiere.

If it does get made into a movie, then it should not follow a game storyline. Those storylines are not long enough to fit into a movie.
The gameplay is also something that cannot be put into a movie as the main scenes. A film of a spacewoman shooting things all the time will get boring and repetitive.
It will have to have a lot of acting and lines in it and should have characters that are shown having to communicate things to each other, thus telling the story to the viewers.

I dunno, there haven't really been many succesful movies about video games right? And it would be cool if it was animated, instead of live action ;p

Well if by Succes you mean Box Office the first Tomb Raider and both Resident Evil Movie where.

As far quality goes I found both Resident Evil Apokalips and SMB entertaining but disspointing.
