In Zero Mission’s commercial, the narrator states that Zero Mission is Samus’ first adventure as an intergalactic bounty hunter.

Zero Mission’s version of Metroid’s prologue states this: “As a last resort, the Federation Police decided on a risky strategy: to send a lone space hunter to penetrate the pirate base and destroy the mechanical life-form that controlled the fortress and its defenses - the Mother Brain. The space hunter chosen for this mission was Samus Aran. Considered the greatest of all the bounty hunters, Samus had successfully completed numerous missions that others had thought impossible. Despite her accomplishments, much of Samus's true identity remained wrapped in mystery.”

So here we have proof that this is Metroid’s prologue, not Zero Mission’s, since Zero Mission is the first mission/adventure and not a following mission that takes place after numerous others. This is also proof that the Metroid manual’s reference to previous missions places Zero Mission at the beginning of the timeline as Samus’ first adventure as a bounty hunter. As the manual clearly states, Samus was known as a bounty hunter by the time Metroid took place, and the best one at that. This is all because of the missions prior to Metroid. Samus is referred to as a Bounty Hunter for these prior missions. Therefore, since Zero Mission is the first mission to feature Samus as a Bounty Hunter, it is a prequel to Metroid, which is clearly not the first mission to feature her as such. So here we have even more undeniable proof that Zero Mission is a prequel.

Thank you.

I saw that commercial back when the game came out. Doesn't prove jack.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Simple, before her work could all have been in a single galaxy, meaning she would have been a galactic bounty hunter. Then Zebes being outside that particular galaxy, meaning she'd have started work in another galaxy and henceforth making her an intergalactic bounty hunter. OWNED!

Dai Grepher: I did not think it was possible for you people to get any more illogical. Not only is that an excuse for a clear fact, but it is an excuse that does not even make sense. Samus is described as a space hunter which means all of space, not just one part of it. Therefore she was an intergalactic bounty hunter during her missions prior to Metroid. Since Zero Mission is the first of those missions, it takes place before Metroid as well.

Tell me that was extremely subtle sarcasm, else my respect for you very well may drop into negative numbers.

Go watch The Princess Bride. Right now. Don't even finish reading this sentence.

You're a ****ing idiot, plain and simple.

Not that society doesn't have its uses for total asshats.

Did it ever occur to you that even if your warped perspective of reality were on occasion in align with sanity, that one measly sentence or phrase or word or atom cannot revoke the game's "remake" status? No, it did not. This is because you're an imbecile. Now put on your purple hat that says "Iym speshul". No, not backwards, sh*tforbrains. You're not cool and hip when you do that. You're a retard who can't dress himself.

Just because I don't spell everything out for people (although in your case I probably should) doesn't mean that what I'm saying isn't relevant. I'm just requiring that you actually use some kind of sentient cognative process before responding.

You, sir, have proven nothing more than how much of a persistent moron you are. We aren't going to buy that. Heck, at this rate you could have the creator of Metroid itself back you and we'd have a hard time believing it wasn't some elaborate scam.

That lowers his chance of being right from 1% to 0%. Because you can't really bribe dead people into agreeing with you. Well, you can pretend they do, but generally their real persona will dictate either what they truely would think or people who knew them would trample you and shoot you with paintguns for making up evil gibberish.

I would like to point out that the only facts that prove anyone here wrong are the ones that prove you wrong, and yet you continually ignore those facts. You are going against the word of the creator, as Nintendo said it was a remake; you continually ignore logic to put forward a crackpot theory.
you are welcome to believe this, but don't try to force it on others like it's an actual fact.
everyone here disagrees with you and yet you continue to try (and fail) to make them believe; though I must commend you for refusing to give up; you have been proven wrong!
