Update New games for 360

When we got the x-box 360 at first I did not know that it could only play a couple games. When I put in a bunch of games they all said to go to x-box.com. So when I went there it said you need a cdr disc to download this thing off and put it in the 360, and it did not work. Could someone help me or tell me how to do it?

I dunno. Does your Xbox 360 have a harddrive? In order to play the old Xbox games, the Xbox 360 needs a harddrive.(I believe.)

we've got the one with the hardrive (I live with wumbo) cause we didn't want to get ripped off by the core. I've got the info on the CD'R nut The 360 doesn't recognize it as an update. I'm playing Halo at the moment on Heroic

i just bought a 360 myself and ran into the same problem. the 360 is not fully backwards compatible. there is a list of games that are compatible but you do have to have a hard drive in order for them to work and you do have to have the software on your 360. there is good news though the software is free just type in xbox 360 backwards compatible in your google search bar and go to the xbox link and all of your questions will be answered. You also might want to consider using a dvd-r instead of a cd-r.
