I don't say Oblivion, though it is made with pure awesomesauce, it's also for PC. But yeah, if you have an extra 150$ it would't harm nor help. 360, on the other hand....Welll.... |

As to whether your life will be incomplete without an XBox, I couldn't possibly say. Last edited by Booyakasha; 08-28-2006 at 09:46 AM. |

Panzer Dragoon Orta is also, as the kids say, "utterly bitching". If you have the choice, I would own one, but your life can be complete without one. As long as you have Shadow of the Colossus. ![]() |

On the other hand, I was expecting "Screw the Xbox (and every other console and game for that matter)! Buy Shadow of the Colossus!" ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |

Were you expecting me to say "Codie is a filthy, smelly hippie"? Because I did. In fairness, though, Ninja Gaiden Black is still the greatest action game there ever was in terms of gameplay. On the Xbox you can get the very best of the following: 1. Action for gameplay (Ninja Gaiden Black) 2. FPS (Halo, Farcry, Half-Life 2, Riddick.....best on consoles anyway) 3. On-rails shooter (Panzer Dragoon Orta) 4. RPG (Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel) 5. Mech sim (Steel Battalion...yes it is very much its own genre at this point) Yeah, Xbox has quite a few very good games. Very, very good. Steel Battalion is a personal favorite, but don't ever even think of getting it, Jay. Ever. | |

I had a friend who owned all of those games, and sold them to get some games for his PS2. In terms of 'best' RPG, KOTOR is only close. To me, that will always be FF9. But that is my opinion. Oh, and those of you that are going to say my friend is stupid, go ahead. He only sold the system in favor of buying some of the awesome PS2 games he was missing out on. The games you posted, Wy, are the best in those Genres for the X-Box, but not neccessarily the best in every other system, combined. I agree with all of your X-Box game praise except the RPG one, which contains a game and its sequel easily topped by the likes of Mother 1&2, and games like Chrono Trigger and FF9. /End Counter and shameless argument/ |

I'd still hold Ninja Gaiden Black as the best action game ever, in terms of gameplay. Panzer Dragoon Orta also wins for best rails shooter. And the Xbox is the best console ever for FPSes. So..... And you can't name a better mech sim than Steel Battalion. I'm sorry, you just can't. |
